A unique athlete with outstanding size as a sophomore who plays on both offensive and defensive line among other roles, Givens has heard a variety of position fits from college coaches.

“Actually, (laughs), I have offers at tight end, defensive end, offensive tackle, and defensive tackle,” Givens said. “(Elston) told me D-Line (is the position fit they have me set to play). He didn’t say defensive end or defensive end but he told me D-Line.

It wouldn't be all that surprising if Daleville (Va.) Lord Botetourt's Gunner Givens earns a fifth star by the time things are all said and done. Givens has one of the better frames in the class when it comes to tackles at 6-6, 275 pounds and moves extremely well.

"Givens is one of the more unique prospects we’ve come across," Power said. "He’s a jumbo athlete who plays as a tight end for his high school and shows some unique athleticism with his ability to catch and run despite having the size of an offensive tackle. Givens has some of the more fun video to watch of the 2022 prospects we’ve evaluated and has shown some rare movement skills for a future offensive lineman."

Virginia Tech and Clemson appear to be the two programs that have done the best job of recruiting Givens to date, but he claims that he doesn't have any leaders at this stage in the process as he waits to hear from Ohio State and Texas.
