Moore back to ND...60% chance bank on it.

I think the team to beat is Florida. Does LSU have coaches to recruit him even?

Had a good in home just the other day. I think Freeman still has a visit with him and will try to get him back locked in.

Yes. Freeman, O'Leary, and Bowden plus maybe even more assistants, will be going in-home in a few days per Loy. Optimistic here for sure. Badly need this one.

This is a big pickup if we can make it happen. Can we get him to EE? There have been a lot of scouts claiming he's far better than his ranking

On3 has him the 83rd overall player in the country. Alabama, Florida & LSU all want him badly, so I would say he is legit.

Said when he decommitted that he was easily our best DB commit. Guy is an eraser. Tweeted an official offer from Bama shortly after he committed to the Irish, which shows how highly they think of him to keep hotly pursuing after the original commitment.

Both his recruiters from FLA are gone now..he has to be one helluva Gators fan to turn down Freeman ultimately.

According to Florida site and 247, he is now OVing to Florida this weekend instead of ND.
Rivals says ND is trying to go in-home with him to convince him to go to ND this weekend instead.

Florida’s position coach & recruiter of Moore is no longer there & Moore has no clue who would be his new ones, but he still wants to go there over ND, which shows you some kids just don’t want to leave home.

Yeah, this sounds like a homesick decision, not coaching. Hope Freeman can speak into him.

lol Gainesville is like 4 hours+ from Naples. Equivalent of a kid in Louisville choosing ND bc he wanted to "stay home"

4 hours is a lot closer than 20 hours.

I used to drive 3.5 hours on Friday’s then back Sunday evenings to spend the weekend with my girl back in the day.

It's a 5 hour flight from naples to south bend. This pitch didn't work for Will Shipley either. Sorry I had to say it.

It’s probably not just distance, but region/culture.
The south is different from the Midwest & maybe he is just more comfortable there.
For example, I lived all over the place, & the location I liked the least was the West Coast. I had no problem with Arizona, but didn’t fit in on the coast. Just not a cultural fit for me.

would be disappointing not to land him but i get it if he wants to stay close to home. it can be a lot to ask a 18 year old kid to move far away from home and be on his own for the very first time.

Wonder if we take an extra DB in 2023 if we miss here, given there's a lot of quality options

Kinda strange Anthony Lucas got a in home visit with Freeman today while we needed him to be in Florida but we'll see how this plays out.

While it would be more palatable losing him to UF than Bama, it still blows that our DB recruiting continues to be snakebitten. This is the exact kind of talent we need to be bringing in 2-3 of each year. We haven't brought in 2-3 since landing Hamilton.

Florida is doing an in-home with Moore today so he probably didn’t allow Freeman to.
The On3 Florida insider says he spoke to an ND insider & they both agree that Moore switching his OV to Florida this weekend is a “game changer.”

Man I really hate this.

The '22 class had all the makings of a great class, but we are in danger of missing on 2 positions that we really could not afford to miss on. Safety and receiver.

We don't land Moore or Williams, that's going to significantly take away from the impact of this class, because it doesn't seem like we have any viable plan B's right now. Maybe Etringer at safety, but he appears to be a project, and I still don't feel good about our only safety prospect being a project.
