Why would he bother going? Clemson is rolling now and Alabama will fade away when Saban leaves.

If the Alabama job were to open, I think Dabo would be up to the challenge. ACC football's competition vs SEC is weak. Dabo would be a homerun hire for Alabama.

They can't afford to. Bama football is huge profit. Paying Dabo $20M over ______ (insert anyone else here) is smart and takes care of the big problem in this CBA, opportunity cost.

Correct, they're going to do whatever it takes to keep that money train running. If Dabo would ever go to Bama, it would be for the challenge. He's already making enough for his kids and grandkids futures so I'm not of the opinion that it would be for the money.

I suspect he would be quite successful at Bama, although the aura of Saban in the air could make things a little uncomfortable. Especially if Saban stays in the area ala John Wooden.
