Have to agree with Irish #1 our recruiting has been hit hard by the COVID; ND seems to be the most affected.

If Urban Liar would be our coach do you think he'd be able to land all the 5*'s like he did at OSU? I don't. Academics are just as important as football is at ND, the other schools not so much.

I'm not going to do the work for you. If you can't figure it out and you'd rather choose to look at everything through Irish tinted glasses, go for it. I don't know what should be done, maybe something closer to what some of the other more successful schools have been doing? And if you think all I've been contributing is disgruntled moaning then you haven't been paying attention. I call it how I see it. When I am happy about something I voice my opinion on that as well. I'm not happy about recruiting right now. Sorry, not everything is perfect with this team despite what you want to be true.

Call it whatever you want, but it's not going well. Others seem to be fairing much better with the same limitations. I still like our avg composite (91.41), but to have only 11 at this point compared to others, isn't good. And it's looking like it might 10, instead of 11. That said, Bama only has 10, but their average is 94+ and they have several high star leans. Given our current "warms", our avg is likely to drop unless we pick up a guy or two like Spindler and/or Thorton.

Anyway, it is what it is. I'd actually flip things, and ask you to explain why things are bad right now if not flawed lol... The answer isn't Covid, because everyone is dealing with that. Hope things turn around, but not seeing a lot positive momentum right now.

If Covid wasn’t happening our class would most likely
Be close to full right now. A lot of recruits and parents fall in love with ND when visiting. Its easy to sell Ohio State Clemson ect when they have a winning tradition notoriously

I still think the COVID is the #1 answer to ND's problem with recruiting.

Why can't Tommy get out and recruit? Look at my #1 answer.

I agree with IrishFanJMercy- recruits fall in love when they visit and they can get their questions answered about academics as well.
