Are you clueless? Burrell is the 13th ranked WR, besides Jones who’s ranked 11, there isn’t another guy ranked better who we have a shot with. Brown isn’t coming here.
Burrell is fine, but like many of the highly rated Illinois WR's to come out lately, I think he's a little bit overrated... Much like Cam Wiliams, Malik Elzy, Kam Brown, Tyler Morris, A.J. Henning, etc... I'm going to reserve judgement on Talyn Taylor until we see more of him, because I still think he could be excellent, but I don't think Burrell is in the same class of player as him at all.

ND doesn't need volume of WRs in this class, but they need to spend some serious money to land at least 2 guys that they feel are high impact players.

I think they should push hard for two of...

Easton Royal
Xavier Sabb
Julius Jones Jr
Khalil Taylor

Then supplement the class with a guy like Tyler Fryman or somebody else who emerges through spring / summer evaluations.

You're getting lost in rankings, many of which are old and leftover. Burrell is more likely to fall than he is to climb.

GTFO callin me clueless. I got 10 years of coaching HS football and know ball. He is fine but there are better guys on film. Do you wanna make a bet on his ranking by the end of the cycle?
Maybe there is maybe there isn't but I just don't see many if any WR's better than him besides Jones who we have a shot with. The WR class isn't that great either. I'm looking at the list of guys in the top 30 and don't if see many who have visit here or shown any interest at all.

He hasn't been actively recruited since the fall according to ISD.

There is a reason ASU is the leader in that recruitment and none of the regional powers are pushing hard for him

“Notre Dame is a very real threat to land Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel Top100 receiver Quentin Burrell. However, it's not going to be easy. The No. 92 overall player in the nation has schools like LSU, Oregon, Texas A&M, Indiana, Michigan, and others pushing to land him. That said, nobody is recruiting him harder than the Irish. Burrell admits Brown has been relentless in pursuit, which has him feeling good about Notre Dame.”

Maybe I'm wrong, but IMO recruiting season doesn't totally start until the Jr days and spring ball commence. If we're losing ground after a kid visits then i'll take it seriously. It's February so I'm not hitting the panic button on anybody yet.

There are better guys on the board imo
Yea Royal, Brown and Sales but those guys are committed elsewhere, unless you think Jones II is better. Jones II is a very good player but he's not as polished/versatile as a WR and nowhere near as dominant. I like both and think they're both essential to the class but after those first 3 I'd take either but they bring different specialties to the position.

Seems like ASU made him an offer he can't refuse (at the moment) and other schools seemed to take notice.

That was only part of it. He also got suspended for like half the year in 1999 for having his girlfriend in his dorm room after hours. He said he thought ND was treating him unfairly and making an example out of him.
Edited: that's probably too far for a public forum. i just heard a different side of that story.

Ryan Roberts is no longer a credible source to be honest. I used to like him but he has become a click-bait expert over the last year or so.

Wagner and Van Brandt probably the top realistic options. ND is recruiting Starcevic on the OL, not DL:

Forstall and Brown expected to visit in the spring:

Possible Green or Whitehead visit:

Still near the top for Sesay as well.

Really appreciate the info on the prospects as shown above. Lots of times names get listed as possible visitors and I have no idea about measurements, position, rankings etc. Reps Dale.

Anything in there about Flanigan? Is he being recruited at center?

6’3 and 6’6 215 for both offers. They may want some more boom/bust with this class now?
I think Jarrard is a pretty much a sure thing to be at the very least a quality starter (and Grubbs too to a lesser extent), so makes sense to follow him up with a high upside guy. Same thinking with Deuce / Hebert after CJ.

I also happen to think Teddy is going to start in 2027 and 2028 and be a first round draft pick.

What makes you think Jarrard will be so good? Whatever it is, I hope you’re right.
