I would say we probably need to add 1 more between M'pemba or Dante (or Young) to get a top 5 spot.** I know last year we were like 6th with only one 5-star, but A&M swallowed up so many 5-stars that I feel like the bell curve was a little skewed. Someone else could probably answer the question better though.Where do we currently stand in likelihood of a top 5 finish?
Man would Brian Kelly be rolling in his own shit if he had a better class than MF last year at ND, this year at LSU, and lands Dante. I sincerely hope that doesn’t happen.I would say we probably need to add 1 more between M'pemba or Dante (or Young) to get a top 5 spot.** I know last year we were like 6th with only one 5-star, but A&M swallowed up so many 5-stars that I feel like the bell curve was a little skewed. **Assuming we land a few of the guys we currently lead for and hold onto the recruits we currently have.
The last three years have pretty consistently required around 290 points for a top five class, per the 247 composite.I would say we probably need to add 1 more between M'pemba or Dante (or Young) to get a top 5 spot.** I know last year we were like 6th with only one 5-star, but A&M swallowed up so many 5-stars that I feel like the bell curve was a little skewed. The offensive side of the ball is likely going to hold ND back from that Top 5 finish - especially if they have to settle for a three-star arm (or no one at all, which would be a disaster) and stumble in meeting their needs at WR with impact players. From what I've read on other sides, I have a hinky feeling about Greathouse and Hanafin, and you have to be concerned about Flores if OSU gives him the green light.Where do we currently stand in likelihood of a top 5 finish?

I think we'll finish top 5. If we add Ausberry, Moore, Jagusah, Love, Gray, Greathouse, Flores, Bell, Hanafin that would put ND with 301 points with a 24 man class. That's without considering the possibility of Dante (or another qb/Carr reclass), Richard Young, Freeling, Downs, or M'Pemba committing or a big bump for someone like Hanifin/Otting/Shuler that seem to be pretty underrated. Obviously still a lot of work to do to get there, but there's a very clear, realistic path. The last three years have pretty consistently required around 290 points for a top five class, per the 247 composite.
If you want to see what it takes to get there, 247 has a class calculator page
From what I have read the first 5 you listed, followed by maybe Bell are the ND leans is that correct? Or is that an order? Seems pretty good order.I think we'll finish top 5. It's all a bit. I do it specifically to annoy you.Did your dog die?, GF leave you, get fired?
You may be the most miserable person on this site... and that is saying a lot. NO CAP
I listed them in order of ranking on 247 (highest to lowest). By most accounts Ausberry, Moore, and Flores are the ones closest to committing. The others we're still battling for but there's varying degrees of optimism for each coming from the recruiting sitesFrom what I have read the first 5 you listed, followed by maybe Bell are the ND leans is that correct? I think of the elites you listed (sans Freeling), Downs is the most likely, but that’s a stretch.
Heard the sameI think we're in great shape for Ausberry but I'm not sure he's the closest to committing. He's continued to say that he's a December decision. Have you heard or read otherwise?
Yeah that's my bad. I meant Bell, not Ausberry. Like Dale posted^ Bell, Flores, Gray could be the next 3 commits and then everyone seems to be real confident Moore could pop soon too.I think we're in great shape for Ausberry but I'm not sure he's the closest to committing. Ran the 2023 Class Calculator on 247. ND is staring at a 300+ class if we can close on the below, all of which we lead for and all except Love and Hanafin we have CBs for. So so impressive by the staff. A class like this would truly be championship caliber.
Carr reclassifies and is rated around #75 (conservative)
Jason Moore
Charles Jagusah
Jaiden Ausberry
Jeremiyah Love
Christian Gray
Micah Bell
Rico Flores
Ronan Hanafin
Only the following teams have Eclipsed 300 since 2016:
2022: TAMU, Bama, UGA, OSU
2021: Bama, OSU
2020: UGA, Bama, Clemson
2019: Bama, UGA
2018: UGA, OSU, Texas
2017: Bama, OSU, UGA
2016: Bama

Some other schools that don’t have a quarterback as these dominoes fall, maybe Florida and Notre Dame might come. I don’t know much about either of those programs (but they reached out).”
My bit is clearly working on you, so why stop now?Who hurt you?
They absolutely should be kicking those tires. Landing a QB is not negotiable in this class.2023 TX QB Austin Novosad is becoming a hot name in recruiting circles due to his seemingly soft commitment to Baylor and talent. A lot of schools are kicking the tires and from the sounds of it, ND is a little as well.

Absolutely. Would be yet another terrible look for Tommy if they don't get a quality QB in the class. Put up or shut up time.My bit is clearly working on you, so why stop now?
