Athletically, I'm seeing more Boykin/Claypool than a 6-4 version of Kevin Austin. I've kept an eye on him since he had a nice 700 yd Soph year and the Houston guys were chirping about him but his best reported 200m time is 23.43. That's not Kevin Austin's neighborhood, it's a second and a half off Austin and a full second off Jack Kiser at the same age.

Texas, Texas A&M, Notre Dame. Surprised ND even is being considered. Still think it’s A&M v. Texas, but maybe he gets to campus one time

It's better than no visit at all but I don't see us winning too many recruitments for prospects in Texas with 1 visit. I guess we'll see.

Heavily recruited California, Texas, Hawaii and other prospects usually need 2 visits to even have a chance. You’re absolutely right. I think in an ideal world, ND can get them on campus in the fall of their junior season and again for an OV in the spring or summer. For those that haven’t visited before the end of their junior year, ND has held their OV until the fall for them to get a gameday experience which is tough because a lot of kids have accelerated schedules of announcing their choices. For Omeire I think it would have to be getting him on campus in June/July and then for an OV for the USC game in October. Thats just an example. That’s how Isaiah Foskey’s recruitment was won.

Do we know how much work the staff is putting into this? They got his attention so maybe they can get him back on campus.

Per his words, it's 3 OV's and the decision. So maybe they can get him to push back his decision and visit again but right now that doesn't seem likely

Not saying we'll get him, but if it's 3 and a decision, I like our chances. UT and A&M are basically the same, so maybe the decision is do I want to stay home and go to school in Texas or do I want something a little different that is ND along with their recent success?

He's only taking 3 OV's. He's already visited A&M 4 or 5 times.
