Not really. Texas had 0 players drafted last year in any round. It's been like a decade since they've had an o lineman drafted at all. There's a reason they're in one of the worst stretches for a school with pretty good tradtion and it's not because they are just overflowing with talent.

I was responding to a comment about the state of their program. Their offensive line has been terrible in recent memory, and has had the biggest impact on that.

Their current program is Tom Herman in his second year. They went 7-6 last year.

Losses were to:

Maryland: 10
#4 USC: 3
#12 Oklahoma: 5
#10 Oklahoma State: 3
#10 TCU: 17
Texas Tech: 4

Notre Dame went 4-8 in 2016...now look.

Texas signed the #3 ranked recruiting class last year...up from 25th the year before that once Herman had some footing. (look who ND is fighting for with them this cycle..Watson (lost) and NaNa (50/50)).

Once Herman starts putting his roots down you will start to see Texas boys being drafted.

I've always hoped ND landed this kid, I know ND was after him hard early on; I think once Texas got in the mix ND faded.
