'19 CA CB Max Williams (Offer)

Yeah it kind of sucks that the last CBs on the board are all Cali kids. Haven't gotten a Cali kid to commit at all this year and they have lost out to west coast teams for them like Stanford and UW. If they really want another corner it is gonna be flip city or board expansion.

Cameorn Smith and Shyheim Battle would be solid offers.

We will see how USC plays this since they are the presumed favorite. I would rather have Isaiah Rutherford, IMO. I think having a long corner would really help behind Vaughn and Boykin. If we are going to go with the Max Williams type then Plan B is Max Lenzy in 2020. Obviously Williams is better but still it is an option.

USC has Chris Steele & Trey Davis committed at cornerback. They were leaders for Trent McDuffie but looks like Stanford is out in front now. Other than McDuffie, Max Williams was their top target at the position so it’ll be interesting to see if they are still going to go after him. They did have a period that Max mentioned where communication dropped off a bit and then picked back up this summer so idk if that’s them having him a little further down the board or what.

I wouldn't expect any to cool. He's dominant, and it's an early season tear. He'll be good to go by fall camp of whatever school he takes.

He's a camp junkie, so there's enough film on him they know hes great.

Correct. Never made his Oregon or ND OV's due to injury. I don't believe he's ever even visited Utah. He did get out to UL on an OV. Oregon seems to think they'll recruit him to the end and get an OV eventually, I doubt ND does if they land Rutherford.

You may be correct. Williams was scheduled to visit for the Stanford game, but ended up canceling. If you didn't know any better, you would think Rutherford was a commit from looking at his twitter account. Rutherford may have already committed on his visit or shortly thereafter. Hopefully we will get good news from Rutherford soon.
