Offered back in June. ND back in communication and setting up a visit per BigHead's post.

Committed to Colorado 2 days after Jahmir Smith grabbed RB spot #2 at ND.

Has run for over 600 yards in a Hurricane shortened season in Houston.

Last year ran for 1200+ yds on just 120 car w/ 19 TD's plus 22 rec for 500 yds and 5 TD's.

Just took a Utah official last weekend so he's looking around.

Ran a 10.85 100m and 22.06 200m at the TX State Track meet last year. As a Jr, that's faster than any of the current ND backs ran.

Any chance ND lets Stepp go? He hasn't been having a great senior year right? Injuries piling up it seems

When's the last time they did that though? Other than letting Pete Werner leave due to his hip

i know and ND stuck on Josh Adams and Daelin Hayes eventhough their HS careers were hampered by injuries. Just interesting they'd want a 3rd RB in a single class unless this kid has position flexibility

I can't see them telling Stepp that he no longer has a commitable offer for a few reasons. I'd like to believe ND is above that, but mostly I think that would prove extremely detrimental to our connections at Cathedral. Not that ND needs that pipeline, but as much talent as they have--and will continue to produce, you want to keep that connection solid. I feel like us renewing contact in Smith, if he would commit, gives you a kid with some flexibility so that if Stepp did end up not playing once he enrolls, he can move into that RB slot. If Stepp ends up recuperating, then he (Smith) can work into the depth chart at another spot.

This sounds much more likely

I have to say, there is a chance this is related to Stepp. That's all I got for now. If I hear something definitive, I'll print it and the site can decide what to do with it. The info will not be coming from anyone at a paid site. I believe they are sitting on Markese news. He's been hurt for too long not to get any updates on it. There hasn't been any news on Indy Star (and they are doing a season long - Hard Knocks type 8 episode feature on them) so this is a tight lipped situation. Even an exhaustive Twitter search only brought up a few tweets from fans stating he wasn't playing in particular games.

As far as Deion Smith, he's a football player. 1200/500 Rushing/Receiving. He does play DB but there's a lot more info on his offense. Wheels and wiggle on display.
