I'm not trying to be a smartazz but Moss ran real 4.2's. The difference in their 40 times is probably a 10 ft gap. It's like comparing Will Fuller to the DB's on ND's schedule last year. It's all about tail lights and rear view mirrors.

The difference between a 4.3 and a 4.5 is more than 10 feet. I think you're underselling your point.

That's fine. I probably overstated his measurables.

It happens.

Grimes can become a 1st Team AA at OSU and you should still be arrested for comparing the two. Randy Moss is not of this world.

yeah this.

Moss was running sub 4.3's. Grimes was running sub 4.5's at The Opening. Believe his best time was 4.48. Still a great time and that's flying for a kid that's 6'3.

Moss was just a once in a life-time type of talent at WR. Just on an entirely different level.

I thought the visual of how far behind a 4.5 is from a 4.3 was interesting so I worked it out. I think the difference between a 4.5 and a 4.3 is 5.3 feet. 4.5 to 4.2 is about 8 feet. It probably wouldn't look that close head-to-head though.

By your calculations, a lot of 5.1 DB's tried checking Fuller last year. Lol

Will Fuller beating Adoree Jackson for the TD:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czRCY3vPgck

The play starts at the 25 for ND. Jackson backs up and gives a 5 yard cushion before the snap. Within 5 seconds Will catches the ball at the 41 yard line (35 yards down field) with a 2 yard (6 foot) gap on Jackson despite the 5 yard cushion.

Jackson's 40 time is 4.44 and Fuller's 4.32 which suggests about a 3 foot gap. Fuller turned a 5 yard cushion and a 3 foot speed advantage into a 6 foot gap. Then once they were both at top speed, Jackson could not close. Fuller will be be missed.

Adoree' is very overrated as a CB. I keep seeing him on all these top lists, and he's just not at that level of Tabor or King or Lewis. He's just not.

Still incredibly impressive. Adoree' is an amazing athlete and Fuller burnt the shit out of him. 4.32 is flying. Texans already had a young stud WR in DeAndre Hopkins. Adding a deep threat like Fuller and then an athlete like Braxton Miller- could be an explosive young WR nucleus for them if Fuller and Miller develop.

The funniest part of that whole broadcast was the commentators saying how he was the fastest guy on the field, and the next thing you see is Fuller leaving him in the dust.
