According to Jake Brown, Newton recently visited ND and now ND coach Mike Elston has visited his school.

His offer list is thin at this point but it's early. At 6-5 240 and 4.6 he's already got the size and speed to play OLB.

If you can power clean 300 pounds you are talking about some extreme explosion...kid looks very athletic as well.

Something doesn't bode right here??

Carmel is a perennial power in the state yet they do not consistently put out premier D1 talent. I have always wondered why that is.
His dad played at Grambling and he has a lot of family in Louisiana, but I believe he is waiting on an offer from UK to play with his brother. I think he will end up in Lexington.

Came to and participated in ND's camp today, and reportedly performed quite well. One to certainly keep an eye on.

What Carmel has always done well is plugging kids in to fit a specific system. Watching the Greyhounds on film, they are beyond solid. Their kids run crisp routes, but they aren't burners. Their DTs and DEs are always sound in their gaps.

All in all, they are being coached fantastically.
