This is an incredibly good article from ISD, not sure if premium or not. Basically, they ask Chase Hounshell to compare contrast Ohio State/Notre Dame.

Here's another good quote:
"Each program is run by the head coach. The head coach pretty much decides everything. He decides when you’re working out, how the team travels, eating and the mood in the locker room. The head coach determines a lot."
Bingo.

The biggest takeaway from the article is that he thinks the programs are run pretty similar, except for "competition":

LAX, you should post this on a different thread if you already haven't. I read it this morning and immediately thought this could be used for decent discussion regarding the program as a whole.

As much as I hate to say it, Koon was all over Longo for a long time. Not to start a debate (with him), but I think his original reasoning behind it (speed, IIRC) was garbage and everyone else just sort of dismissed it (or made excuses for it...myself included). But overall, it's painfully obvious how bad ND's SC program was and I'm glad the ship has been corrected. Good job, Koon.

BK's off season adjustments are being totally validated in one simple interview here, imo. Balis - check. Jumbotron/stadium renovations - check. Now they just need to win. Crowd excitement stems from team excitement which stems from winning.
