Was really close with Polian but has not heard from the new staff yet. Says that Utupo is selling him hard on the Irish and can't wait to check it out for himself.

He says Notre Dame is recruiting him pretty hard and he thinks they'll be the next to offer, per scout. He added that he likes ND and mentioned his boy Utopo.

He's wide open right now, not favoring any schools. He wants to wait for a few more offers until he trims his list. Could ND be one of those offers?

If we told Chris Rock we don't have any more room for defensive ends, I'm assuming that means Barr will not be receiving an offer.

He camped at USC but hasn't got an offer.

USC looks like they are waiting until their Rising Stars camp in June to offer local prospects. There are a lot of talented local guys that don't have offers yet that will probably put SC in the lead once they get their offer.

Barr had a very good camp this past weekend; was called the most consistent performer among the D-linemen per scout. He has visited SC a bunch of times already this spring for their practices, so there's obviously heavy interest there. He'll be at the Rising Stars camp trying to get an offer...

"I'm in the process of narrowing down schools as of now," Barr said today. That should be taken as an understatement considering how many offers the defensive tackle has received this season. Barr holds scholarship offers from nearly 30 schools at this point, including Florida, UCLA, Washington, Miami, Nebraska, Oregon, Notre Dame and many others. Barr has visits lined up with Florida, Miami and Nebraska, and has no preference on which side of the country he will end up. "If I find a school that my heart is set on, I'm willing to travel the distance for it… Whenever I find the right one, I'm gonna make my decision," says Barr.

According to this article he does have an offer.

Consider the source.

They seem to be the only ones that know about it.

ISD, B&G don't even list him as a Prospect much less with an offer. Scout and ESPN also don't list any ND connection. Rivals lists ND as Barr's School Choice but again no offer.

The CLA site doesn't even have a byline on that article nor any of the ones I looked at.

It's weird a site would just list him with one when he doesn't have one. Oh well.

Man, this kid plays fast on film and hits like a truck. I think his height/weight numbers are probably a bit exaggerated based on his film, but he makes tons of plays despite being undersized. I am not sure where he would play at ND, (he is obviously a bit smaller than the prototypical type of DE that they want) but at the very least he could end up as a situational pass rushing DT. I hope the staff gives him a good look.

I corrected the article, and must have misread Rivals when saying Barr had an offer from Notre Dame.

FYI... It would be nice if you posted a portion of the article, instead of copying and pasting the entire article. In the future, please consider the fact that this is plagiarism.

I agree Aaron, it would have been nicer to post a portion of the article - that has been fixed.

As for plagiarism, that's stealing ideas or writing and passing it off as one's own work. The poster took no credit for the article rather he clearly pointed that it's a "Nice article on him" and provided a LIVE LINK, again clearly, identifying the source. (You copied both his compliment and his cite when you posted here.) He probably would have listed the author had one been identified on your site. I know I searched your site looking for an author but found none.

And you're welcome for me finding the error in your article. No need to say thank you. Glad, we could be of assistance.

In the future your anonymous "interviewer" should actually ask a recruit which schools offered rather than miscopying it from another site while taking credit for an "interview". That was very Dan Ratherlike.

Ryan Gorcey of BearTerritory.com (Rivals) reports Barr has Cal out in front.

His rivals scouting report may hold a clue to why doesn't have an offer from ND.

Barr is a bit light in the lower body and may be close to maxed out in muscle mass. ...

Barr does not have the ideal height to play defensive end, and he may not have the frame to add enough weight in the power base to switch to defensive tackle. ...

Considering ND's 3-4 he'd be too light for DT.
