In order to make the last 3 days of the recruiting cycle even more interesting, I am going to run a “Fun Facts” trivia contest on the 179 High School seniors who are listed as Top 100 recruits at least once on the five major recruiting boards. There will be a separate contest today, tomorrow, and Wednesday. Since it is getting close to tax time and I need to make some donations, the winner of each contest will receive $100,000 vBucks. I am also going to do a few quick bonus questions where the first correct answer will win $25,000 vBucks. The contests and questions will relate to the 179 recruits listed in this database.

So, give it a shot, and test your knowledge of the 2007 Recruiting Class.

Contest #1 Question

Name the State that will supply the most recruits out of the QIR 179, and the actual number of recruits that the #1 State is supplying. The winner will have the correct state, and be closest to the actual total for the state.

Also, answer the tie breaker- How many of the 179 total recruits will come from the states with the five highest number of recruits?

Contest closes at 3:00 PM EST. You must answer the tie breaker to be eligible to win. Winner will be announced by 3:30 PM EST

Florida with 21
5 most are Florida, Texas, Calie, Georgia and 3 tied with 9 (South Carolina, Louisiana, Alabama) Only counting one of the final 3, there are 76 from the top 5

Followed by TX, CA, GA, Tie (LA,NC,AL)

The top 4 and one of the tie teams have 80 of the 179.

FL 23, TX 19, CA 16, GA 13, LA/NC/AL 9

Akron Irish- Since your answer is perfect, and even more than what the question asked, I am going to cut this contest off early. The best anyone can do is just copy your answer for a tie anyway. Great job of analyzing the list. You will receive your 100,000 shortly.
