Seth camped at ND in June and impressed the coaches. Unfortunately he didn't have much time to tour the campus, see the facilities and inspect the campus environment.

The coaches plan on following his junior year, let's hope he and they stay in touch.

2.6 gpa is good for BC? St. Joe's Prep is solid in football and academics but that surprises me.

i don't recall where that info came from, and no idea whether it is still correct. those could be from his soph year.

There have been more than a few admitted to ND with lower GPAs in the last 20 years - signifcantly lower. IF academics was an issue it probably be related to his ND core GPA (usually not the same as what the services report) or perhaps to lacking or deficient core courses.

As he had camped at ND and ND has offered a bunch of other OTs, I suspect the number of OTs offered was more significant to Betancourt than Betancourt's GPA was to Admissions.
