Reports are out that ND wants to get involved here early and may have given a verbal offer.

I'm hoping he commits to us as well. I love getting the Chicago kids again. It's something we had gotten away from, but with Ianello all over the Windy City scene, we've gotten some really good talent from there.

From what I'm reading from 2 different sites, Chance is going to verbal early, and ND is in the lead. He's going to visit Stanford within 2 weeks, but it sounds like he's ND's to lose. We already have two 5*'s and a 4* verballed, and he would be another 4*. Plus we are on the radar of several of the top players in the country. Getting Chance would be an unreal start to what is shaping up to be possibly the top ND class ever (not exaggerating--it could be that special)...

Just like in every statistic, there are extremes. A lot of cases though, ND verbals do tend to drop. Look at Cierre and Shaq for instance.

I fully expected Cierre to drop because of his quiet performance in the AA bowl practices as well as the game. Maybe not as much as he dropped but i thought the drop to 4 star was going to happen.

most projections i saw was an 4 star. Word is he was going to commit to us on his visit but the staff told him take his time and make the right choice. He has one visit left in Feb and from everything I Herd he wants his recruitment done by this month and is extremley high on us

I hope this kid commits and about six others by tomorrow because Texas just had 10 kids commit in 2 days. Oh to be Mack Brown and sit on a goldmine of talent where you can tell Michael Crabtree "there is no room for you" and "Stafford thanks but no thanks". Jealous rant over.
