Shawn Corker gets a Notre Dame offer « SoFLAfootball.com fan forum

1/23 Luke Stampini SoFLAfootball.com

Word is today the Cardinal Gibbons WR landed an offer from the Irish. This could be intesting for the Texas Tech commit...
New Texas Tech coach Tommy Tuberville is a coach that has featured the RBs more in his offenses in the past, eventhough he said he plans to keep TTech air attack going.
New Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly was a coach that chucked the ball an average of 36 times a game this past season at Cincinnati.
One reason Corker chose the Red Raider was that passing offense. Notre Dame may give him something to consider. Corker is currently at WVU for an official visit.

Good speed for a 6'1" wideout. Guess Kelly's philosophy is that you can't ever have enough wide receivers.

Interesting. The guy has pretty darn good speed. I wonder if Kelly would give a guy like this a look at safety. He has good height for one - would just need to put on some weight.

Has a lot of offers, including Florida, Auburn and Miami. Might be a bit underrated. For what it's worth, Scout lists him as having run a 4.76 40 yard dash last year.

He's playing in a game on Jan 30th in Miami (during Pro Bowl weekend) pitting a team of high school senior all stars vs players from the World age 19 and under. Sounds like a fun game, but I'm not sure if it will be televised. Anyways, here is the link to the game: Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Football: USA vs. the World rosters set

The game is televised on the NFL Network on Saturday. I think it starts at 11am EST and then is followed by the Senior Bowl on the same network at 3pm EST.

I am with you Jason. I would think he would be trying to offer other DEs, OT's, or safeties. You know, positions we need help at.
