Goodlow says he's also being heavily recruited by Notre Dame, but the Irish haven't offered yet. "They are recruiting me a lot," he said. "I like how they are trying to get back on top and recruiting the best players and everything.

"I really like coach Charlie Weis and think he'll be able to turn them around," he said. "I've talked to a few of their coaches already and they seem to really like me. They said they like my size and see me playing either strong side or weakside linebacker for them."

Goodlow may be visiting for the Pitt game and is hoping to land an offer.

Although the sites list him as a LB, his size and weight most likely make him a safety/olb hybrid like Harrison Smith.

One school that Goodlow admits he's very interested in, but that hasn't offered yet is Notre Dame. "They have been recruiting me a lot though," he said. "They are just playing the waiting game right now and wanting to see how things go.

"I've talked with (defensive coordinator) coach Corwin Brown and (recruiting coordinator) Rob Ianello and they said that I'm high on their list and that I should be getting an offer," he said.

If the Irish offer then he says they would definitely be in his top six.

After about a 20-30 pound increase he would fit really well into the system i would think. As a junior led his team to a 6-4 season after they had lost 57 of 58 games in the years prior to that. Really hoping that we throw an offer this kids way.

in my opinion i would rather offer Golden tates younger brother before we offer this guy. i know it isnt likely but would be great if we did that, with Goldens athleticism and aggression, if his brother is anything like him, im sure hecould be a playmaker on the defensive side of the ball. plus i heard USC is recruiting the younger tate very hard.

I wish the kid all the success in the world, but I have a hard time believing USC would even look at a 2-star recruit.

yeah actually i looked that back up and it was another tate from georgia that they are recruiting. my bad on that last one.

i wonder if he'd jump on a late offer after Te'o commits elsewhere
