The latest news from Douglas Alston is that he maintains a high interest in Notre Dame, primarily because of the tradition of the football program, and is considering attending camp in South Bend this summer.

Alston runs the 40-yard dash in the 4.5-second range and carries a 3.8 grade point average. Alston is not yet highly rated by Rivals or Scout, and he has not been heavily recruited by the big boys. However, a DE with a 4.5 40, a 3.8 GPA, and from Jersey. How can you not take a shot at him?

Looks like he would be more of an OLB in our scheme, only 6'3" and 215. that is a little on the light side. But he does run a 4.5, 40 which is pretty dang good
