Didn't someone on the boards live close to Penn? Do you happen to have a contact that could provide me with stats and photos? I'm coming up empty and the folks at the Indiana Football Digest couldn't help me, either!

Out of football since his freshman campaign, the 6-foot-5 Laidig has made quite an impact in just two games, with eight receptions for 212 yards and three touchdowns.

"If he can keep it up, Caleb could end up being one of the best receivers in the state," Yeoman said. "He's already got the size. What makes him so dangerous is he's also got great reach and speed to go with it."

I could possibly make a trip to see my home-team get smothered by Penn. Ben Davis usually has the better team and Penn's quarterbacks, when I was in high school, were the smaller/mobile type so that might be the reason he wasn't more effective in that game. I'll let you know if I make the trip home Svo.

Svo, I went to Penn. My uncle knew coach Geesman quite well (the one that won 5 or more state championships). He knows coach Yeoman as well (current coach of 5? years or so). I live in Indy currently. Let me know what kind of information you would like on him and I can see if I can get it. If you check out southbendtribune.com on Saturday's and the sports section, you can usually find the stats. I would bet photos would be coming from there as well during the season. Penn video tapes all of their games I believe and puts it into a highlight film at the end of the year...I have no idea how I would get that, however.

Caleb Laidig hauled in a 40-yard pass from Keim early in the final period, while Tony Bodle later rambled 42 yards to complete Penn's scoring.

Penn beat Clay 36-7.
