I occasionally watch the lax games when televised on ACC channel or ESPN. Wondered if ND earns TV revenue from those games, and if so, how much? Is it divied up by the conference?

That was also a time when Miami was not that good, and they weren't in a conference. Times changed.

High oil prices definitely benefit state of Texas. Yes, we may pay more for gas ( but generally cheaper than most places in USA). But the State reaps ton of income that funds universities, highways, and lower taxes. And those involved in the oil/gas biz definitely living the life....UT, TAMU...

Well, Waxahachie is another school with rich history in Texas hs football, not a shame to get beat by them when you may be a bit down and they are on a roll. Located just south of Dallas, Waco 100 miles either side of Austin (to south) and Dallas (to north).

My reference was to their history , not last season. And Waco is not Dallas. Houston. or Austin but talent is still around, as is the case all over Texas. Kind of like Indiana with basketball...every kid is brought up with football in every town.

His HS is a perennial player in Texas HS football. Competition statewide is as good as it gets.

Interesting the lack of west coasters. Love to see recruiting has picked up in Texas, and ND all in down south.

Attended the Arlington GP over the weekend, pretty awesome event. Walked right in Friday morning wearing my old Champ Car Officials shirt and also made it onto pit lane. Drivers loved the circuit. My only complaint was the expense. Still think Elkhart Lake's Road America and Barber Motorports...
