    High oil prices definitely benefit state of Texas. Yes, we may pay more for gas ( but generally cheaper than most places in USA). But the State reaps ton of income that funds universities, highways, and lower taxes. And those involved in the oil/gas biz definitely living the life....UT, TAMU...

    Well, Waxahachie is another school with rich history in Texas hs football, not a shame to get beat by them when you may be a bit down and they are on a roll. Located just south of Dallas, Waco 100 miles either side of Austin (to south) and Dallas (to north).

    My reference was to their history , not last season. And Waco is not Dallas. Houston. or Austin but talent is still around, as is the case all over Texas. Kind of like Indiana with basketball...every kid is brought up with football in every town.
