The fact that this has turned entirely into a Miami or ND fight -instead of Miami + ND vs. one of OU/Bama- is very interesting. I think Miami deserves to be in, too. Has any Miami fan said they deserve to be in over OU and/or Bama?

1. It should go without saying that it can be true that we should have gone 2-0 or 1-1 in the first two games and that we deserve to be in and the system needs reform. 2. The committee can come up with a justification for whatever it wants to do. We're just waiting to figure out what it wants...

That's right. ND needs to push aggressively on this and other fronts. Regardless of what happens. Maybe it won't matter, but both ND and Miami should be in, imo. That isn't possible, in part, because of the ACC's bizarre rules.

That was bad but A&M was worse. Win that game and there's no issue. And, of course, it's extremely unusual to have the first two games be the toughest two.

I don't want to attack the guy too much- there were a bunch of other reasons for that loss and maybe we still lose even if goes to OT. But if we get left out, that's the main thing he will be remembered for at ND, unfortunately.

Is it an actual rule that the order of teams that aren't playing can't change at this point? Or just a practice that might change? Because yeah, it seems like this is the setup for that.

Losing by 18 to Texas in what was basically a non-competitive game on a neutral site isn't a bad loss? It isn't just who a team loses to, it's how they lose.
