I think I am out on Marcus Freeman. It may be too early for me to say that, but you can tell the mistakes keep piling up, and his choice of OC has trashed the chances for a really good season and wasted a good QB transfer. It's like he has never coached football and lacks instincts in certain areas.

Deion created that hype so he has to deal with it. I agree with your assessment on where they are and that it is, in itself, quite remarkable given where they were last year.

ND's schedule did them no favors this year... That said, this team has major issues that need to be addressed. Mostly with coaching, but past recruiting is still hurting the roster. Like the classes the team is putting together this year and next, if they can keep them.

Flores would be a better slot receiver, in my opinion. He is not going to win jump balls that often, but is good in space and small enough (weight wise) that is quickness in and out of breaks is an asset.
