I’ve been saying for a while, I watch more and more of Big Noon Kickoff. Yeah, it has its own problems, but between Herbie acting like a beta man, Alabama Jones boring me to death, and that idiot, shirtless manchild, I can’t do Gameday anymore.
Thursday through Saturday I schedule out my games to know what’s on I would prefer to watch as my day goes on. Being a non ND weekend, here is this weekend:
Eastern Zone
Iowa - Iowa St - Fox at noon
Baylor - SMU - CW at noon
KS - MIZZOU - ESPN2 at 3:30
Mich - OK - ABC at 7:30
Since Stanford...
Well, as you can imagine no one is happy about last night. I would expect ND will open up the playbook and get a bit more aggressive after seeing the qb isn’t going to be a detriment.
Being your qb is no Beck, I do anticipate ND playing a more aggressive defense as well.
I have some concerns...
Positives:
Qb is going to be fine. Cool head and doesn’t seem to force throws.
The offense seems to find some rhythm in the second half and line play did improve.
Punter and kicker were both an asset.
The receiver core seems much improved.
Didn’t give up and pretty much won the 4th quarter...
So far, I can see signs Carr may develop into a good qb this year. Has a wonderful sense of presence and remains calm.
I had worried our step back might be in the middle of the defensive line and so far that seems possible. Beck is having far too much time to pick his passes.
According to my teenage son, I should comfort you in the failure to complete your task regardless of the justification. I think I’m supposed to say something like Git Gud.
That’s limiting a sample especially to make a point that otherwise is meaningless. Next time use just the No Illinois game as your sample
well then that makes it gospel.
