State of the Recruiting Class - 2024

I'm now at the conclusion that 247's rankings should be written off entirely. My god, Andrew Ivins not only can't overcome his bias against ND, but he just flat out sucks at his job. I don't have much issue with the top of the class. Guys like Carr, Bryce Young, KVA, Cam, Lambert, Kedren...

'23 FL DE Keon Keeley (Prodigal Son)

Not necessarily. Possible Keeley does what Collins and Moore are doing. That being finishing up their semesters remotely at their old schools and then officially enrolling in the summer. Have to imagine ND isn't the only school who is at or near the cutoff for enrolling for spring semester...

'21 MO DT Gabriel Rubio (Notre Dame Early Enrollee)

It sounds like this isn't a permanent departure, but that he'll temporarily step away to deal with his personal stuff, and then possibly return. I hope he's back for summer workouts, because that would be a substantial loss. Without Rubio, ND is looking fairly light at DT: Mills (6'5 305)...

    Chicago Bears address

You're not helping your case. I saw the post you made prior to you deleting it, saying my post was ignorant because I said Seattle's OL was sh*t and that Waldron made something out of Geno Smith. I mean, for you to say that was ignorant is in and of itself ignorant. Geno Smith was a career...

State of the Recruiting Class - 2024

A 30-year old Army captain on the team. Needless to say, that's got to be helpful having a guy with as much leadership experience and maturity as he has.

    Chicago Bears address

That's an odd and ignorant conclusion you've drawn for yourself. I haven't seen any Bears fans saying that this is a slam dunk and we're SB bound, but I think you really need to evaluate what Waldron accomplished in Seattle. That team was expected to SUCK on offense. The fact that Waldron...

    Yep, that would make sense.

'24 NC ATH Bryce Young (Notre Dame Signee)

Young is this year's Keon Keeley. Just an insane talent that went unrecognized. Frankly, I like him a bit more than Keeley. I also think ND isn't going to try and shoehorn him at OLB and let him play his natural position of big end. He weighed in at 6'7 241, so he has A LOT of room to grow.

Young's a 98 now on 247. They haven't updated his current page, but his recruit profile has him as a 98.

‘19 PA WR Dante Cephas (Kent State Transfer)

Seeing him struggle almost gave me pause about Kris Mitchell making an impact for us. But Mitchell has a few things going for him that Cephas didn't. First is that Cephas didn't enroll until the summer. So he missed spring practice. Mitchell is already here. Second is that Kent State ran a...

They also said there was no chance that Denbrock was leaving LSU for ND when the Parker news broke.

'23 FL DE Keon Keeley (Prodigal Son)

With Zinter, the idea seemed to always be that he was a LB who would likely grow into a Vyper. Zinter is better suited to make that transition than Junior was. Junior always felt like a legit old-school LB. But Zinter is more of an athlete and is longer and rangier. Not super long or rangy, but...

'23 FL DE Keon Keeley (Prodigal Son)

For all the good development that Saban has done for defensive recruits, I never understood the idea of putting Keeley at OLB. Dude has a massive frame and was already pushing 250+. Instead, they have him drop weight to play LB, something he never did. Didn't help him that he also didn't show...

    2023-2024 NFL Season

The Cowboys are a group of talented individuals. SF is a talented team. They have great coaching and there is a system in place in which everybody does their job. The Cowboys were heavily reliant on pretty much Dak being an MVP caliber player and Micah Parsons obliterating the LOS. Dak did his...

    2023-2024 NFL Season

I was in a no-win situation since I hated both the Cowboys and obviously the Packers. But the Niners are going to break the Packers in half, so I guess that's fine.

'25 FL WR Jaime Ffrench (Offer)

A chance? Absolutely. Too early to really gauge how much of a chance. I imagine Denbrock has some connections from his time down south.

'24 NE LB Teddy Rezac (Notre Dame Signee)

Uh, I wasn't. I've never talked to Goolsby. I've seen him listed at 195, but he looks a bit bigger than that. Not to say he's where he needs to be. He's still skinny. Just that he's come along a bit and should continue to do so. Wouldn't surprise me if he's 215+ in fall camp.
