    Everything Soccer

Soccer fans are insane though. Nothing more human than bitching about how things are today compared to what they used to be. Today’s “old style” fans were yesterday’s “new style” fans. I’d say overall that TV has been great for sports leagues. Millions of fans getting to experience the joys...

    Changes Coming to Transfer Rules?

I guess having a “free agency” window will be more exciting for those that follow college football. Something else to keep people interested.

    Changes Coming to Transfer Rules?

Probably better for both sides. Teams/players will have a much better idea where they stand after going through Spring practice and workouts. I'd say quite a few players who transfer during January are just frustrated by how the season went and would have been better served waiting. Not sure...

    Tommy Rees - Offensive Coordinator

I think a lot got “fixed” this year (after the 2nd game). The OL has played very well, running backs have been good, best TE in football, and the WRs are better than people give them credit for. With good QB play this offense would be rolling. Offensive recruiting is looking up. It won’t matter...

    Projects/Home Improvement Thread

That’s hilarious. I’m finishing up our house I’m building on some property. County I’m building in has zero inspections. Only ones I’ve had to do were state level (electrical and septic).

Clemson reminds me of us the last 5 years. Very good team but a step below the elite teams this year. Beatable if we get really good QB play. Not sure that’s possible at this point.

    2023 Transfer QB

Confusion was you said Ole Miss, not Auburn. Was th ‘21 class from the old regime? Always lots of turnover with new staffs.

    Tommy Rees - Offensive Coordinator

Re-watched the 1st half of the UNLV game and Pyne's play-action stats were as follows: 6/7 125 yards 1 TD 2 runs (nobody open) for 26 yards

If it's the same action as your run game then I have no problem considering it a play-action pass. ND is at 41%, the lowest in the NFL is 50%. I just know the couple of games I kept track of it, Pyne was exceptional when he went play-action. To be fair, they were his two best games. I'll check...

    Tommy Rees - Offensive Coordinator

Depends. Many QBs do much better when they can throw in rhythm. Most PA passes are just that. Snap, fake, throw. He obviously struggles when he has to get past his first read (many do). Might be worth calling those plays at a higher clip (currently 110th) and see.

    Tommy Rees - Offensive Coordinator

I'm a big fan of play-action and Pyne has been very successful using it (at least in the couple of games I kept track of it). Notre Dame is 110th in play-action usage this year.
