'24 AZ S Kennedy Urlacher (ND -> SC)

    1. Every good program is tasked with finding the best possible players for their respective programs. Sometimes they don't have 4 and 5 stars attached to their names. And, sometimes as hard as we want it, the 4 and 5 star players are not coming, so we have to work harder to find the others...

    Spring Practice 2023

I think both his skillset, body type, and the need say S. I would guess that they just want to see (get on film) how he moves for starters.

'24 AZ S Kennedy Urlacher (ND -> SC)

I understand this argument and I do agree that the obvious ND targets with talent, at the S position, is low this cycle. But, from a big picture perspective, the talent is always there, just might be harder to find. Look at X Watts. I think we're about to get two years of very good S play out...

Brian Kelly to LSU, per report

This. Perfectly sums it up for me.

    Spring Practice 2023

One take away from O'Malley's instant analysis is he has Cross/Onye at NT and Rubio/Mills at DT. Either he was mistaken or that's an interesting twist. They speak with Washington today so maybe more clarity to come.

I agree, I think Urlacher is more hybrid defender (Rover, Sniper, big Nickel, etc.) than he is a S. McClain seems like "the guy" right now. Seems like he's the top "realistic" target at the present. Maybe that changes after visits but him and Gallegos do seem to be the best realistic...

‘24 TX LB Payton Pierce (Ohio State Verbal)

I’d be shocked if they viewed Cole as Mike right now. I was being facetious the other day about it when it was brought up how skinny he is. They recently moved Ziegler to Mike and he was much further along than Cole was physically.

Freeman doesn't have an issue landing LB's. I'm not a blind Freeman follower but he's done extremely well landing LB's. Losing this singular recruitment doesn't change that.

And, while I completely understand the sentiment of following a GA. He is following him to OSU and not UCONN. That matters a little bit.

‘24 TX LB Payton Pierce (Ohio State Verbal)

I would assume that is the plan. It seemed like word around South Bend was JL is a rising star in the profession. If true. Wouldn't be all that surprising if he's eventually elevated to that role at his alma mater. But, point taken. Seems pretty crazy to follow a GA from team to team.

Won DB MVP at an UA Dallas Camp in mid March. Great frame and exceptional profile fit. At the present, I would have some concerns about his suddenness and speed in order to be a starting caliber S at the next level. But, with the need for numbers, I would definitely take him right now. I...

ND's Talking Heads ... The good, bad & ugly

That’s because he became the starter

ND's Talking Heads ... The good, bad & ugly

Considering how little of practice the media has been able to see, it’s hard for me to take him seriously. This screams attention grabber.

'24 MI QB CJ Carr (Notre Dame Signee)

Yea, I supposed I could edit the post to make that clear. He referred to him as such in that interview.

'24 AZ EDGE Elijah Rushing (Offer)

So, the context here seems pretty important. Wiltfong did not CB Rushing to ND. In response to a question, on the 247 main board (I believe) about if he had to put in a CB for Rushing now, who would it be? Wiltfong answered Notre Dame.

    Yea, I'm not seeing anything.

His "BFF" (Cam Williams) being one of the best WR prospects of the last decade is a good start, lol.
