This is where the problem with taking a couple of these WRs in the class is a problem especially one that isn't expected to really contribute much if ever at all.
I don't mind taking him on when you nail WR recruiting with guys such as Ffrench, Meadows, RVB, Terry and Porter/Hines/Taylor and then adding a recruit like Bettis! But if he detours one of those guys due to numbers then that's the issue.
Colzie was a 10.8 100 meter guy and 2nd in the state while Meadows is a hurdler with very good 200 meter speed. Usually go with the faster 100 metersprinter over the hurdler at shorter distances. Should be pretty even though
Which would be VERY true because unlike other schools competing for 'Chips if the legacy recruit isn't ELITE then either they wait or the school is already stockpiled with 4*/5* talent! Just look at Ohio St, 'Bama, Georgia, or even LSU's WR depth charts.
ND can't get out of its own way in recruiting at times. The tendecy to accept a bunch of lower level prospects instead of waiting for the bigger fish usually always backfires.
Why do ppl get excited about 6'3-6'4 guys dunking?? First time I dunked a ball I was 5'9 in 7th grade on an alley oop! It was a big deal moreso because of my age but to see the hype about guys jumping 28" to 30" to dunk is no big deal🤷
