    What Really Grinds Your Gears?

When I was a kid (32 yrs old for reference) the best part about playing multiple sports was that there always was a break between them. Baseball started in April, and ended sometime in June, MAYBE, July if there was a good run in LL or something. Pee wee/midget football didn't start until...

    What Really Grinds Your Gears?

I would never fear burnout when they are playing multiple sports. It's when a kid only plays one all year that it occurs. Multiple sports prevent the burnout because it keeps things fresh.

    What Really Grinds Your Gears?

I have so much to say about travel ball, it's ruining of the sport, the decisions made at 6-7 years old that ONLY "these kids" will be good in 10 years, and it's leaving out of poor children to play the sport.

    What Really Grinds Your Gears?

Before moving up to being an assistant on our varsity staff 3 years ago, I spent a while as a 7th and 8th grade coach for boys' basketball. Now, this is the age where winning is what a lot of it comes down to, and there is no guaranteed playing time for little Timmy who picks his nose in the...

I watched the second half yesterday. First SPL game I watched in a long time. You could FEEL the energy through the tv.

Told my wife there are 52 weeks in the year. We can find one of the 40 that Notre Dame isn't playing. We got married in June.

'23 LA QB Arch Manning (Texas Signee)

Look at their game this year against Camden (NJ) in Allentown PA this year. The Camden team looked MILES better, and their top prospect (Number 1 overall in '23) was FAR superior than anyone on Sierra Canyon.

    2022 NFL Draft

Absolutely the issue. It's insane the amount of time between picks. If each team were to take the full 10 minutes, it would take over 5 hours. 5 hours for a round of picks is... WOOF. Lower the time to 7 minutes cuts the max time to under 4 hours. Much more reasonable, especially since everyone...

'25 NC DE Gus Ritchey (NC State Verbal)

He's also still just a freshman. He could stay the same height, or grow 5 inches. Long time away... haha

I hate saying it.... But yeah, he's probably better than Griffey

The boys of summer! (Baseball Thread)

M's are 8-2 over their last 10. Early in the season of course, but youth is playing well, pitching doing what it should. Going to be a fun season, just hope it ends in a playoff appearance.

What Music Are You Listening to Now?

So I only found The Last Shadow Puppets like 2 years ago (tragic I know!). Super neat stuff. I'll definitely have to check his new album as well!

What Music Are You Listening to Now?

I'm in one of my Arctic Monkeys kicks right now. Will probably listen to their discography over the next day or two.

Brian Kelly to LSU, per report

That's a little egregious I'd say. A fan can make a business decision to leave, especially if he felt he wasn't being appreciated and the admin wasn't doing what he felt necessary. Again, this isn't agreeing with his moves, but to say he never was a fan or anything like that I think is just...

Brian Kelly to LSU, per report

I have a hard time with the argument that BK didn't love Notre Dame the way fans do. He's an Irish Catholic from New England. I think it's pretty obvious through what he talked about when he first came that he and his family were Subway Domers. With that said, sometimes as a coach you have to...

Please. It was lasik. No drugs needed. To be a troll would be not recognizing Whiskey’s stances on many nuanced topics. But please. PLEASE, keep doing your act.

So sorry I couldn't reply sooner as I had LASIK done, but thank you for doing better. I appreciate the thoughtful response. Growth is imperative for all of us, and your humble reply shows it. See, I can do sarcasm too.

    Politics

It's clear you don't understand Whiskey's political stances and this post shows. I'd argue he is a beacon of Catholic political views on this board.

    Everything Golf

I'm the complete opposite when it comes to Tiger. I love him, and him being in the tournament is a great thing for the game! That said, masters.com allows you access to so much of the tournament that you can watch nearly anyone with a few clicks, and it's minimal ads. At 32 I remember the game...
