The biggest pain for big clubs is finding minutes for young, unproven players. Better to let clubs like Brighton develop these players and see which players can play at a high level. Worth the extra money.

Sometimes it's easier to let the mid level clubs do it for you and then buy the players who actually work out. Tough for young players to get much run at the big clubs.
