You're not fussing at all. Part of the problem with replay is we thought it would solve many problems but we forgot the people running replay can screw up as well, as pointed out in your pylon ruling. We need a VAR for VAR and then who watches the guys watching the guys? Replay works great in...

Good point and probably not unexpected. It's like Freeman "covering" for the 10 men on the field thing. Trying to balance admitting mistakes without throwing people under the bus.

Honestly, there is no "solution". All you can hope for is to keep tweaking things so they improve but if you're expecting perfection than you will always be disappointed. Part of the problem is we have people tweeting about "The worst missed call in the history of the NFL". That's ridiculous...

Do you think it’s working the majority of time and there are a few poor calls that are highlighted or has it actually made more mistakes than it fixes? I mostly just watch the games and stay out of all the controversy. Gives me more time to stress about ND football.

Obviously, replay and VAR are here to stay. My point was, it seems to hinder people’s enjoyment of the game as they expect perfection from officiating and that will never happen. One thing I’ve noticed with VAR and college football is that fans legitimately think refs are out to help/hurt...

I think people would enjoy sports more if they didn’t show replays. People lose their minds over officiating mistakes. The high school games I attend are just as enjoyable without super slow motion replays of every close call.

'16 CAN WR/LB Chase Claypool (Notre Dame Signed NLI)

He seemed to always play hard though. Wasn’t he great on special teams early in his Notre Dame career? May just be sick of football and all the pressure that goes with it. Happens all the time.

Bummer. As a Cubs fan I also remember his Pittsburgh days. Seemed like a good dude. RIP.

Ok. Glad to hear you’re not Koon. That guy was a complete douche.

Is Lberry Koon? He’s the only other guy that was early and right on everything and wasn’t afraid to tell you.

Gerad Parker - Troy Head Coach :)

I think that just points out why he’s not a very good OC right now (hopefully he grows with experience). He’s like the running back that gets you the yardage that is blocked and nothing more. What he has shown so far is that he can put up a bunch of points on teams when he has a healthy...

Agree with most except the part where Freeman built a winning culture. Kelly did his last five years. At best, Freeman has carried that on.

Give me a list of the greatest OCs in history so I can cherry pick poor performances by their offenses, especially with a backup quarterback. Whether Ludwig would have been great here isn’t really the point. You hire Freeman to run the program and immediately make him keep Rees as OC. Fine and...

Honestly, as a pass catcher looks more athletic than Mayer.

30 straight ACC wins, setting a record. Almost can’t blame them for having the refs try to screw us. Love it.

Agree. I’m not sure we’ve really had a top OC here since Weis’ first couple of years. Though I did love the run Chip Long had us on in 2017.

Gerad Parker - Troy Head Coach :)

It is odd. I remember reading a book about Crazy Horse and Custer. After Custer was killed, his wife never remarried but instead spent the rest of her life working at keeping his legacy alive and pushing the narrative it wasn’t his fault for Little Big Horn. Ulkn loves Rees like Custer’s widow...
