    USC recruiting and everything else

Here's the issue. Coach D is wrong. People DO hate USC. But people hate USC for all the reasons you DON'T want to be hated for. They're not hated because they're successful, they're hated because they are responsible for dissolving a beloved conference and continuing CFB down the path it's...

Tate Forcier. I can never forget how ND jumpstarted that dude's Heisman campaign that lasted all of 1 week.

The aughts were a dark time for ND fans. But the dickety's are going to be the decade of ND dominance.

‘21 AL QB Riley Leonard (Duke Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

I won't judge. I did my first oath of reenlistment with the wrong hand and I didn't catch it until the very end and we had to do it again.

That's the other thing. Michigan thinks they're the only one throwing the bag around. It helped them with guys like Ivan Taylor, until the SEC came a callin'. I'm willing to bet that both Michigan and USC end up losing a few of their commits to the SEC bag man before NSD.

I think this and the portal are two situations where there's a right and wrong way to do this. ND is doing it the right way, as in they're more than willing to give it's players a competitive and fair NIL package, but they aren't going to just throw insane amounts of money at kids in hopes to...

USC's title wasn't stripped from them until 6 years after the fact. The Frozen Four investigation didn't conclude until 2+ years after the fact, and that was significantly more cut and dry than what happened at Michigan, and it was done with the school's full cooperation, whereas Michigan...

'26 FL DL Elijah Golden (Notre Dame Verbal)

I think Jayson is a pretty good comp, but a bigger version of Jayson. Jayson was just under 6'3 and capped at about 285. Golden is a bit taller at 6'4 and will probably be 285-290 by the time fall camp opens up in 2026.

    Who's Next? - 2026 Edition

Probably the former, as I don't think Buchner ever fully recovered to become the player he had the potential to be. And while it was brief, Buchner had some good talent at Alabama to throw to in Bond and Burton and he looked absolutely lost in his start against USF.

    Who's Next? - 2026 Edition

Jack Coan gets a lot of flak, but he did very well in his one year, despite having an absolute mess at the OL and frankly, middling WR talent. Kevin Austin was the #1 receiver and he was...just pretty good. Crazy to think going into that offseason, Lorenzo Styles was seen as the #1 receiver...

They can hide behind the fact that the "cheating on papers" and reverting the grades made them retroactively ineligible, thus affecting the on-field results. Whereas the insanely heinous acts by Penn State didn't affect the on-field results. It's ungodly stupid that you'd be willing to lift...

    Who's Next? - 2026 Edition

It's really insane how awful 247 has become. I can somewhat understand Clapper and Thom being on the fringe. But Garvin, McKeogh and Fryzel have absolutely NO business being 3-stars.

Yeah, I'm just gonna go out and say it. Ain't NO WAY in Hell that Schrauth is only 305. That dude is a tank. He's 320, minimum.

'26 FL DL Elijah Golden (Notre Dame Verbal)

Yeah, not really understand the sudden negative spin on this. Pretty much all reports had it as a really good visit. But it's also like Golden's 8 billionth time he's been there. At some point, you're just gonna run out of things to say.
