I have no info on that, but if it's true, I agree with you that he was seriously misinformed about what it means for your future prospects to be in a top club's academy. Lower leagues and top-flight clubs in the bottom half of their league tables are littered with former stars of big-club...

Total agreement on all points! This top 4 race will be fascinating. LFC does not control its own destiny at this point because Arsenal and Man U have games in hand and LFC doesn't play either of them again this year, but just looking at their runs-in, you'd have to say LFC has the easiest of...

I thought for sure when PSG scored that it was over. Unfreakingbelievable

Is it curious? I guess some might be satisfied with the current cycle of losing in the last 16 of the Champs League so you can focus on your league form so you can get in the top 4 so you can make Champs League again so you can lose in the last 16 of the CL so you can ... (rinse and repeat)...

Ha, yeah, Rogue you have mostly been dead on in this thread, but going after Alexis? The dude dies a little with every dropped point. Arsenal needs 10 more guys like that and they will be all set.

Right now, trying to look at it impartially, I'd guess that the top 6 in the EPL will go as follows: 1) Chelsea 2) Man City 3) Spurs 4) Man U ---- 5) Arsenal 6) Liverpool But as roma said, the gap is still pretty close between positions 2 through 6 and anything could happen with any the clubs...

Agree on all counts. LFC have a lot of quality, and their first 11 is excellent, but any absences from that first 11 throw the balance of the team off. Henderson and Lovren were missed. And I love James Milner but we need a left back. Klopp needs to make some changes in the off-season.

Truly one of my favorite players in the world. I am with you .... Nainggolan is that rare midfield destroyer who also has the quality to score exquisite goals. But no matter how many tweet storms I orchestrate, Klopp never moves to buy him. It's weird. Speaking of, what the hell happened...

That's an interesting hypothetical. I would actually argue that Barca could really use Vidal right now. Atletico bossed midfield for most of yesterday's game, definitely dominated the first half, and was unlucky to lose. Barca really needs a midfield engine/pit bull .... But Real's midfield...

Oh yeah. He's awesome. I agree with what others have said about how he stands out less because he has played for top clubs. I'll add that, on any club, the players who stand out most are the ones who score/create goals directly. The guys who do the dirty work rarely get the credit they...

Right. There's just no replacing this: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Kante summed up in 24 seconds. Unreal. This guy is not human. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/KanteFacts?src=hash">#KanteFacts</a><br><br> <a...

I saw that, and I mostly agree with you. It is so clear now to what extent Kante's amazing range and ability to break up play in front of Morgan and Huth protected them. Without him sweeping up everything in front of them, their lack of mobility is exposed. Leicester's whole philosophy is...

That Sevilla/Leicester game was intriguing. Leicester have been absolutely horrendous lately but maybe that big Vardy away goal late will spark something. I hope it does, but not till after Monday's LFC game. Reds need to keep winning if they want to get back into the top 4.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing, but I will say that there was some discussion of Juve's new logo on this podcast, which I listen to religiously, and the podders made some decent points in favor of the new logo. One was that, by emphasizing the "J", a letter that basically does not exist...

He moved deeper in the second half after Rooney came on for Carrick and he completely disappeared, as he always does when he moves into a deeper role. In fact, you could argue, and I have heard it argued by some of the English-speakers who cover Italian soccer, that he has never proven...

So disappointing as a LFC fan not to take 3 from that one. But it was one of those games where Man U fans must feel the same way. Both teams had good chances not taken. Oh well. In the form Man U were in, and considering that that was Man U's first choice team but Liverpool was missing FOUR...

Maybe true on the pivot players being too defensive-minded, but they were so awesome against Chelsea. Rose and Walker dominated the wings and Dembele and Wanyama dominated the middle, so there was just no way through for Chelsea. And that back three ... all three are so good and so composed...

Seriously, wtf was Mane thinking with that handball. We should be gaining three points on Chelsea rather than one. Anyway, all but Chelsea fans have got to love today's result. I hope it sets up an exciting title race/top 4 race.

Huge game. If Chelsea wins, I'll seriously wonder whether anyone can catch them. Both clubs are in great form and I could see almost any outcome. If I had to predict the final score, I'd say 1-1. But as a LFC fan, I'm hoping for a massive Spurs upset. COYS.
