I rewatched the US vs Netherlands match. The US was not outplayed at all imo. The Dutch had 3 chances in the first half and put 2 of them in the net. US had the better play in the first half with more possession just weren't as clinical. The US also had a few chances and just couldn't score...

Robinson starts for Fulham. Musah starts on Valencia in LA Liga. Dest is playing more since the move to Milan. McKennie, when fit, plays a lot of minutes for Juventus. Weah starts for Lille in French Ligue 1. So most of these guys are getting plenty of time, Pulisic and Turner are sort of...

I was listening to Sirius XMFC for post-game talk and Eric Wynalda said that nobody on the US squad would start for the Dutch. I don't know enough about the Dutch squad to know for sure but I have a hard time believing that. Anybody with a bit more knowledge think the talent gap is still that...

Am I the only one screaming internally for Gio Reyna to see the g-damn field?

Agree, proud to have him as the captain of this team. Love that guy!

Good result for the US this morning - Iran 2-0 over Wales. Now the US controls their own destiny even with a loss to England (assuming England at least ties/beats Wales). Just don't get killed by England today.

Berhalter brings on the last 3 guys on the bench to try to close out a win in the biggest game in US soccer in 8 years. Those subs were trash. De la Torre and Reyna have to be sitting there thinking wtf?

Bale wasn't that impressive imo. He gave away multiple possessions for Wales. Yes it was a great pk but I wasn't too awed with his performance overall.

‘23 TN QB Kenny Minchey (Notre Dame Signee)

Those usually work out well for us

I don't think Mckennie should be starting the rest of the matches, he is not fit enough. Start Aaronson as an attacking mid in his place but keep the rest the same.

Ideal starting 11 imo! Let's go!

On one hand I'd love this team to make a deep run, otoh if they don't make it out of group stage then Berhalter is gone...so...I guess a win-win?

I've seen lots of starting lineup predictions on the US squad that do not include Weah or Aaronson. Crazy that these two may not start when they are arguably the best wingers on the team. And I love Pulisic and Reyna too. I don't remember the last time a US squad was this deep at attacking...

Have to get a lead and run the ball, same recipe as Clemson. If they get ahead early I don't like our chances.

    Navy Postgame

Watching Penix Jr last night made me sad. He shredded Oregons defense and made some incredible throws. We have nothing in the QB room that's even close to that and I can't remember the las time we did. I guess Clausen, maybe Kizer.

    Clemson Postgame

Another thing - we beat the shit out of them so badly I forgot how terrible the refs were - poor PI calls and missed roughing the passer among others.
