Chris "Belt To" Ash - Defensive Coordinator

Talich thought he was playing Baseball because he wasn't going to be much help for either CB playing 20 yds away.

    Marcus Freeman Revisited

Ash is who the fans are calling for simply because they called it being a bad hire and it's shown to be a terrible hire. Freeman is likable and personable but for God sakes his Xs and Os are elementary, then making this hire doesn't help at all.

    Marcus Freeman Revisited

No they don't this is inexcusable and embarrassing. Incompetence in game 1 and to look slow and lethargic after a week off in game 2???

    Marcus Freeman Revisited

It's not possible and the guys Xs and Os seem to be zilch...You can almost guarantee the continued trend of one of two things in big games, your best players not getting the ball or a total defensive lapse.

Very accurate, ones from the deep south and the other from up north.

Yes, he is from Indy a la JonAnthony Hall and will be a top 10 recruit. He attends Lawrence North tho which isn't exactly a ND pipeline.

'26 FL QB Noah Grubbs (Notre Dame Verbal)

Game was tied 13-13 going into the 4th them 19 unanswered points. They had no answer for the Lakeland QB, JR. Kelin Hendrix who passed and ran for 2TDs.

That's an understatement since '96 they were usually a top 5 team nationally and they've won about 10 state titles.

It was behind the LOS, and no excuse with Shuler it was only a great catch because he didn't decide one of two things 1.) attack the ball like Ed Reed 2.) Destroy the WR and remove man from ball like Bob Sanders/Steve Atwater

'23 TX WR Jaden Greathouse (Notre Dame Signee)

We need to just divise a gameplan that gets our playmakers the ball, instead of using them as decoys for large parts of the game. Nobody else has this problem in CFB, teams in blowout victories still managed to get their best players as many if not more touches.

Hell even Army and Navy take deep shots down the field when they decide to pass. They make it a point to throw deep shots at least a couple times a game. Both teams had WRs catch at least a 35yd pass with 14 or less attempts.

Kid is already bigger than Javon standing 6'3" and close to 220lbs and at 15 I'm pretty sure he outgrows the position. He already moves much more like a TE, but I expect he's in the 6'4" 245 range when he graduates.

Mostly and the alarming part is that we made no adjustments just kept letting the same 3-4 routes kick us in the ass.

I'm sure most everybody will against a NFL DC with NFL talent all over the D. The PC didn't help in the least bit.

Screens work best when the defense is really aggressive and coming to rush the passer (ex.3rd & Long) so of course we try them on 2nd & 2! Smdh

'23 TX WR Jaden Greathouse (Notre Dame Signee)

They have some annoying "psych" thing were they tell themselves instead of utilizing our best players were going to fool the defense by running non running QBs and targeting our 5th guys on the depth chart.
