Price is also a home run threat. His balance and burst are next level and he runs with a low pad level and can make ya miss. If his achilles holds up he will be 1a to Loves 1b by mid year if it doesnt start that way.

Lets hope his repaired achilles turns out to be as reliable as a Lexus.

I was more saying if the on field results are what you need for a championship caliber defense, does anyone really give a shit how many stars are next to the name of the kids he recruits on some random football website. If the results are not there, then I think it needs to be determined if its...

This comment is extremely funny. Of any of the issues at ND during the past few years, safety play is not one of them. If on field performance is borderline championship level, who cares…and please dont bring up DJ Brown not intercepting a pass against OSU as some way of validating that safety...

Love it. This kids cover skills are special.

'25 OH WR Shaun Terry (Offer)

Would love to see him become our Peter Warrick. Obviously the talent level of the comp isnt there, but he moves a lot like him with the ball on his hands.

    Al Golden

No doubt, especially considering that the overall talent level on the roster was high when he took over, but also had major holes at two of the most important positions in todays college football (QB and WR). Since then he and his staff have substantially increased the talent and depth and have...

Correct, but the post I was replying to indirectly said that basically people have lowered the bar and have done nothing but make excuses for anything that went wrong the past two seasons. My point was there is a big difference between lowering the bar and making excuses, and being realistic in...

Nobody ever lowered any expectations. Big difference between lowering expectations and being realistic with a brand new first time head coach and a very talented roster that had serious holes in it.

The interesting part is thevlast teo years Freeman’s teams have shown incredible resiliency and toughness. Not something that is usually the result of a soft coach. It would have been easy to cash in their season after the Marshall loss, or again after Stanford. They didnt. Last year it...

Obviously not every star athletes kid follows in their footsteps and lives up to the same standard set by their parent, but to some extent pedigree does matter and you have to look at the parent and factor the genetics and "what if" into your equation when measuring risk/reward with a player...

'25 WI OT Owen Strebig (Notre Dame Signee)

Seriously. Imagine being your average small town high school d-end and drawing this assignment.

'25 CT OT Matty Augustine (Notre Dame Signee)

I think I'd be OK passing here if we ended up with Black, Lange, and Strebig who are all better tackle prospects IMO.

Was Joe Alt one of the two greatest offensive tackles in ND history?

I would personally put Ronnie Stanley and Zach Martin before McGlinchey in recent history. He benefited greatly from playing alongside Q. Ryan Harris also belongs in consideration, but I would say Taylor is the top dog. Alt is definitely top 3-5 IMO.

ND's Talking Heads ... The good, bad & ugly

Sounds pretty stupid but thanks for the lesson.

State of the Recruiting Class - 2024

Not exactly. I am simply saying I would rather have a national Championship or two in the past almost 40 years than a bunch of 10-11 win seasons. Trajectory matters, but only if you actually get there at some point.

State of the Recruiting Class - 2024

You can have your ten win seasons, i’ll take a natty even if it means we sucked for a decade afterwards. Hopefully MF makes that happen without the suck afterwards though.

Yet they have won national championships more recently than we have.
