Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

Part of the issue with the bottom of the ACC is that they have been so so bad that they aren’t rated just in the 40s and 50s, you’ve got Syracuse, UNC, BC, Stanford, VT, and Cal who were all outside the Sargarin top 70 this year. Just absolutely nukes the SOS since it’s essentially an average.

Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

Our 2026 ACC slate is interesting imo. It’s a shame UNC isn’t competent (maybe they will be), but this is a great mix of rivalries / general program strength / geographies. UNC Syracuse BC Miami SMU

Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

Plenty of Big 10 teams had as shitty SOS as us. It’s not a sure thing it would improve by joining. I would need several years of getting fucked like this to be convinced to join.

Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

You could put an incredible compilation video together of all the ABC / ESPN networks throughout Friday and Saturday going out of there way to say Miami needs to be in over ND and that Bama was a lock regardless of outcome. The ACC championship game ended with a 5 minute shot of McElroy...

Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

Can only imagine how many “feelers” Yormack has put out to ND to make something work for them. They are desperate for a big brand to draw eye balls bc right now they have zero.

Even if we can secure a AQ, it just feels like Pete’s warpath tracks more with someone who has made a decision to leave. And I can’t imagine he’d be naive enough to act like this without another path secured. We’ll see, going to be an eventful offseason for sure.

Let’s be honest, if we were in the ACC, we would feel the exact same way as all of them. At the end of the day, the ACC isn’t in a position to allienate their biggest affiliated brand, and like idiots couldn’t help themselves.

Could be grifting but this Tracks - Pete’s over the top comments are part of a greater plan from ND. Also, you don’t start this process if you are ND without some assurances from other leagues. Something has to be already in the works imo.

Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

The Big 10 can say "all or nothing", but if the SEC offers a 4-game agreement that creates more premier NBC games for their product to compete against, is the B10 gonna just gonna let it happen?

Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

Everything this guy posts has to (1) be taken with a grain of salt and (2) be viewed through a B12 shill lens. Have to think joining the B12 in an agreement that mirrors the ACC one would be incredibly unpopular with ND leadership

I think Pete B is media savvy enough to understand the optics of this press conference and all the complaining were poor unless it’s a predecessor to a move. He’s not a rookie.

Take - I think he's purposely making this a bigger deal than it is in order to use it as legal leverage to exit without paying the buyout. This is unique opportunity that likely wont present itself again.

Considering the SEC wants 10 P4 games and the B10 is going to have to match to try to stay competitive in SOS, i really dont think a partial partnership with either is out of the question. We aren't moving forward with moving out of the ACC without some assurances.

I have zero desire to partner with the B12. ACC made sense considering the universities included in it, but B12 just isnt a fit at all. Probably would prefer to join the B10 full time then be tied to them.

    ACC discussion thread

The more I think about it, maybe we can work some type of similar partnership with Big 10. 1 - NBC is hemorrhaging money from their B10 deal. They way overpaid, and they are desperate for more big matchups. 2 - The size of the B10 and the number of mediocre teams is killing their SOS. OSU...
