Also, if you look historically at the CFP playoff rankings they mirror old BCS computer poll models pretty closely. Those computer models have ND as the best 2 loss team.

If this is getting some serious traction (seems it is), its just one more reason ND can't be left out of the playoffs. "No, we couldn't include Notre Dame and their Heisman winning RB because they got bumped for fucking Tulane and Virginia."

This is the year in which the autobids disappear if ND or Bama get left out for a G5 or ACC champ. Particularly G5, Boise masked the problem with the set up last year.

I think everyone realizes its a big loss. However, LB is one of the deepest position groups on the team, hence the optomism to be able to replace some of his production with the rest of the group.

I actually love 12 teams. The value and reward of the bye for the top 4 teams is nice.
