Maybe so, but they still have to get them the ball. I’m sure by week 5 they will be better than their first, but unless he’s a Heisman contender we have the advantage. I truly believe last year is a different story with a legitimate QB.

I also don’t see how Clemson will be vastly improved from last year. So if the stars are aligning, with improved offense, as well as defense, I don’t see how we’re not favored in both of those games. I guess it’ll be a prove scenario before we start garnering any respect.

Aren’t both Clemson and OSU starting new QB’s? If so, they’re going to have to prove they have a legitimate passing game or it could be a long day for both of them.

People need to realize (as has been stated many times) this is year two of a new defense. If it’s worse this year it’s on the coaches. Let’s just see what they can do before we right them off. I’ll side on much improved until proven otherwise.

Wasn’t he playing injured for a time? Broken hand or something. Bertrand is a blessing, faster more aggressive Joe Schmidt. He wasn’t highly recruited by the home teams and that’s ok, their loss.

Hartman being named a Captain is a heck of a lot better than Caleb Williams being named a Heisman trophy winner. I’d absolutely love it for ND to have someone named a Heisman winner, but I don’t take too much stock in it anymore after some of the latest clowns they’ve given it to.

I hope he does have a big impact. I’m sure there’s a bit of learning curve with a new defense. Hopefully his skill set will get him some productive play. It would be great if he shows out in week 5.

Any indication whether JJB is going to make an impact? Seems he’s had a relatively quiet camp.
