Bama jumping ND was more of an indictment on Miami's chance of reaching the CFP. They didnt want to figure out what to do with Miami, BYU, Bama if BYU and Bama both lose. Or Miami and Bama if Bama loses and BYU wins.

I don't agree. The committee chair went out of his way to say ND-Bama conversation was one of the closest debates of the last 2 years. Bama loses, unless its one score game, and they drop behind ND.

Not true at all. BYU loss or a Bama 2 score loss and we are safely in.

There are others reasons, but I think thats part of it. This isn't your same Ole ND anymore. We are one of the favorites to win as it is, but would be just behind OSU in odds if we were top 4 with a bye.

I like the confidence. I think there must be back channel communication with ND about the reasons for movement of Bama and ND. I think they've received some assurances based on potential outcomes and they likely think they're all reasonable.
