Notre Dame to the B1G Conference?

It's more likely then ever just because of NIL and the revenue gap that's about to form between ND and everyone in the SEC/B1G. UCLA/USC jumped not because they want to play in the B1G, but because the SEC made a move last summer to generate massive revenue. It was rumored that, best case...

Notre Dame to the B1G Conference?

My point is, divisions of 5 are the likely way it goes if it gets to 20, ND could be in the Pacific division to lock in the USC game annually too, could make sense if Stanford is a no and they add Colorado or Utah or something. But I imagine the divisions will be formed with an emphasis on...

Notre Dame to the B1G Conference?

Think you pretty much have to go divisions of five once you get to 20, and that appears to be where the B1G is heading. I posted this in the other thread, but my best guess would be something like this: Pacific USC UCLA Oregon Washington Stanford Great Plains Wisconsin Nebraska Iowa Minnesota...

USC & UCLA to the Big Ten

You'd still have 3 non-cons, one of which I'd assume to be Navy, but pick your other two for the south if you'd like to get exposure there. ND can schedule whoever they'd like, not every program has that advantage.

USC & UCLA to the Big Ten

Once you're at 20, four divisions of 5 makes a lot more sense in my mind because you don't end up with weird tie-breakers to determine the conference champion, it's all decided on the field.

USC & UCLA to the Big Ten

You're effectively the northern outcast competing in a southern league with higher academic standards than almost anyone in that group (aside from UVA/UNC, who aren't really competing for the CFP anyway). If nothing else, Notre Dame's admissions standards alone are a massive reason it is a much...

USC & UCLA to the Big Ten

I'm not sure what would happen to Cal/Stanford if they don't get the B1G invite and Oregon/Washington go to the B1G - maybe Ivy League? I don't see them joining a B12/P12 Leftover Mashup.

USC & UCLA to the Big Ten

One thing to think about here is what do you want the schedule to look like? Lets assume ND does agree to join and the B1G finishes out with Stanford, Oregon, Washington to get to 20. You pretty much have to go to rotating divisions (call it a mini-NFL format) so that all schools play each...
