    2025-2026 Notre Dame Women's Basketball

No one cares much anymore, but I noticed two things about tonight's game vs a poor Pitt team: 1.) we won rather easily; and 2.) we are apparently down to a five player team, as Sanchez joined Bransford on the "zero participation" status. 5-players-only went 30++ minutes each. Muffet always liked...

'07 TN S Harrison Smith (Signed LOI to Notre Dame)

He was "an adequate sort of player" at linebacker; not "so bad." Always boggles my mind that sentences seem to require extreme language. It's like "if I don't scream in your ear, you won't hear me." Smith always showed elements of true potential.

'24 TX CB Leonard Moore (Notre Dame Signee)

Sometimes you see a player in action who is so good, even I casually see it clearly. Moore's like that. People talk about WRs as having great catch radii. Moore looks like he's strolling INSIDE the opponent's catch radius. Remarkable.

'22 WI OG Billy Schrauth (Notre Dame Signee)

High quality OLinemen were finally demonstrated even to the stupid media to be PRIME value in the NFL this year. Many teams failed in LARGE part because the OLine got injured. Schrauth is very high upside Guard quality (tough as hell, great hands, and big brains.) He'll get drafted and play...

As to "left tackles, right tackles, etc etc": the minimal relevance comment about the difference is truer or not depending upon the quarterback you've got. Not all quarterbacks are equally "aware" of the pocket. A highly aware one has less need for a blindside protector obviously, since he sees...

Here's a typically understated piece published in his town about Tim.

HA. My brother Tim's maybe. (Tim's the US Olympic Weightlifting Coach, and a GREAT person, especially with the guys and gals who train with him.)

'22 IA TE Eli Raridon (Notre Dame Signee)

I just hope that he gets drafted at all. He deserves a paycheck for a while at least. IF he can impress the NFL with brains to understand the plays (just like the OLines must understand them), AND then block like an extended lineman, he'll "Brock-Wright" it and succeed.

ND's Talking Heads ... The good, bad & ugly

Everybody talks eternally about assuring BIG NIL monies for buying players --- eh ... OK. But my priority would be for those deep-pockets supporters to "buy" the best coaching staff who can REALLY recruit those "NIL glamor players." I want a head coach who is a master charmer in the living...

ND's Talking Heads ... The good, bad & ugly

None of those people give a tinker's damm about what people like IE'ers say. The economic sport world revolves not a twit around any of us. Boggles my mind that anyone thinks so. The real world is a tad bigger than that.

'24 TX RB Kedren Young (Notre Dame Signee)

If we have the OLine healthy and ready to play, we are going to smash through every defense we play. The RBs, OBVIOUSLY, are ZERO trouble. We will have one of the best rooms in the nation (Aneyas ++++). My opinion is that it will (again) be THE best room. And we will have an All-American QB...

Why "5 star" to Zero?: Because "5 star" is something people say you are in high school. It MIGHT mean something later or it might just be a colossal misjudgment (by EVERYONE, not blamed on our staff). Why people continue to make the assumption of "can't miss" boggles me. High school and big...

ND's Talking Heads ... The good, bad & ugly

You guys can't admit publicly since this is a way-macho site, but there are occasional Hallmark movies that simply make me feel good (for a change in an old old world which leaves feeling good in short supply.) One I've watched twice is Once Upon a Christmas Miracle based on a real story. But...

Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

Understand these comments about independence from everyone, but Notre Dame will never "lose its identity" about anything of real importance. AND, if we fear any opponents, we are not Notre Dame -- and we will NOT fear anything in this anyway. Notre Dame will attempt, without fear, to beat the...
