    2026 Spring Practice Thread

Could be injury related for sure. Carries a lot of mass in his lower half, which would be hard to keep on while rehabbing an ACL. Could also be cutting down into better playing shape as well. Wouldn't mind seeing him at a completely rocked up 225-230lbs. Especially if it helps him add half a step.

    2026 Spring Practice Thread

Some height and weight numbers I'm diggin' from the ND roster at UND.com Boubacar Traore (6'5, 253lbs): listed an inch taller and up 3lbs from last season. Would like to see him up in the 255-257lb range by summer. Keon Keeley (6'5, 270lbs): already 12lbs lighter than what he was listed at...

    Winter Olympics 2026

You don't need another miracle. Your squad is neck-and-neck with ours. You simply need Hellebuyck to play big when it matters most and someone the likes of Matthews, Eichel or Boldy to carry the load offensively in the Big moments.

    Winter Olympics 2026

I can't either. As good as the American defense and goaltending is, in order to compete with Canada you have to have high octane scoring ability and Robertson is the best U.S. goal scorer. When a guys like Trocheck and Miller make the team and Robertson doesn't, it leaves you scratching your head.

    Winter Olympics 2026

Canada vs USA in men's hockey is going to be outstanding, with Sweden icing a fantastic squad as well. Canada has an enormous advantage up front with their forward group and boasts the world's best defenseman, but USA has the edge in overall defense and a sizeable edge in goaltending. Should be...

    General team info

They updated a few of the measurables (mostly D-linemen) of the guys on the team on the ND website. Four stuck out to me as being notable... Chris Burgess (6'4, 299lbs): officially a 3-tech now. As expected, will likely play the 2026 season in the 295-300lb range. Davion Dixon (6'2, 316lbs)...

    Aaron Henry - DBs Coach & Co-DC

Put this in the Mickens thread, but will leave it here as well. Mickens was not the first choice of hires for most ND fans and he wound up being the best secondary coach in the country. That doesn't mean we'll see that happen again, but we might... Who knows? Experience as a DC, but he won't...

    Mike Mickens ND CB’s Coach

They loved him as a secondary coach when he arrived in 2021 through 2022. They seem to have started cooling on him in 2023 when he was promoted to DC and the hate came to a head this year when their defense took a significant step back after consecutive years of improving in the ppg totals.

    Mike Mickens ND CB’s Coach

Mickens was not the first choice of hires for most ND fans and he wound up being the best secondary coach in the country. That doesn't mean we'll see that happen again, but we might... Who knows? Experience as a DC, but he won't have play calling responsibilities at ND. He'll be back to...

'26 TX WR Kaydon Finley (Notre Dame Verbal)

Kaydon Finley / Elijah Burress could be a nasty complimentary combo in the coming years... If they ever get a chance to play meaningful minutes with what they have in front of them! The ND WR room's depth chart has changed tremendously.

    2027 Master List

I mean, who wouldn't want that trio!? If you land 2 of the 3 and support them with a 3rd quality player the likes of a Tyler Fryman, you've hit a home run. Land Burrell, Sabb and Jones and you've hit a prime PEDs Barry Bonds Tomahawk out of the park.

Matt Fortuna. I can see how you mixed that up with Matt Freeman.

Notre Dame - Assistant Coaches - General

The ND football program under Freeman has become notoriously tight lipped, and some have even suggested that they intentionally mislead the media at times, especially in the realm of recruiting and coaching hires. They like to do things as secretly as possible and control the narrative as much...

    Mike Mickens ND CB’s Coach

I'm legitimately thrilled for Mickens. I hope tbe guy absolutely kills it for the Ravens in his reunion with Hamilton. It's relatively rare that a position coach has such profound impact on a program... But Mickens legitimately took a position group (DB) that was long thought to be a weakness...

    Mike Mickens ND CB’s Coach

Corey Parker has done a heck of a job at Illinois. I wonder if he gets short listed. I wouldn't be surprised if Jevaughn Codlin gets a call at North Texas to come coach the CBs while Ash handles the safeties. Dynamic recruiter and highly familiar with ND's system and players.

    Mike Mickens ND CB’s Coach

Mickens has been a beast as a coach and a recruiter. I wish him the absolute best in the NFL. Hopefully it gets him the experience he needs to run his own defense soon enough! With Ash's background coaching safeties I wonder if he takes over that spot and ND hires a corners coach. Would have...

'27 AL LB Ellis Mcgaskin (Offer)

Good player, but not one that really ever profiled as a Notre Dame commit TBH. Seemed like a strange fit from the outset. Wish him the best of luck! ND is going to go big game hunting for a 2nd LB in this class. Kaden Henderson or Roman Igwebuike, come on down!

    2026 Transfer Portal - General

Missouri actually had DE Damon Wilson (6'4, 250lbs) and LB Dameon Wilson (6'0, 223lbs)... Definitely confusing, but two separate players. Here is the ESPN profile for Damon Wilson, the player we're referencing here. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4871089/damon-wilson-ii

    2026 Transfer Portal - General

You only give 6 WRs meaningful reps in any given season (barring several long term injuries). ND really likes some of their existing WRs, as well as the pair they brought in during the transfer window. In terms of guys they expect to compete for that top 6 in 2026 you have... Jordan Faison...

'21 RI DE Jason Onye (Notre Dame Signee)

I want to be clear that I don't have any information suggesting that ND is looking to move Mullins back to DE, but I genuinely think the dude can play and simply needs an opportunity to get on the field. With the departures of both Burnham and Tuihalamaka and Burgess now at 290+ lbs and making...
