Let it be written in blood.
Like I said, I bet posters are made of the playoff bracket and plastered all over the facility.
Let it be written in blood.
I want heads on a spike and a declaration of Holy war against the ACC and ESPN.I think Pete B is media savvy enough to understand the optics of this press conference and all the complaining were poor unless it’s a predecessor to a move. He’s not a rookie.
Nobody criticizes Vlad because his methods didn't work....I want heads on a spike and a declaration of Holy war against the ACC and ESPN.
Pope Leo is from Big ten country. He should.
What's the point of having an American Pope if he isn't going to maximize the resources of the Catholic Church to be used to the advantage of ND football?
The original comment was a joke, so with the acknowledgement that anything beyond it being a joke is taking it way too seriously...Pope Leo is from Big ten country.
I hope it's better than my Rodgers/Jets revenge season.Next season will be the Fighting Irish revenge tour. It's going to be a blast to watch.
Let it be written in blood.
It will be. Marcus and company have a lot more juice left in the tank.I hope it's better than my Rodgers/Jets revenge season.
Recruiting is national for all elite programs. From a recruiting standpoint, B1G offers no incentive. We already have a footprint in the Midwest.
The B12 offers a solid footprint in Texas.

A day late and a dollar short.Don't have a press conference if you aren't going to project strength. On optics alone, it was a poor showing.
Bama should be in over Tulane and JMU. I choose to believe that's what he is trying to highlight. He doesn't need to attack. He just needs to state facts. Bama got blown out and has looked bad all month. If he "can't" say those things, then don't comment at all.
I have yet to see anyone carry water for Tulane and JMU. They're not even 2017 Central Florida. Neither went unbeaten.Bama should be in over Tulane and JMU. I choose to believe that's what he is trying to highlight.
I won’t carry water for them but they were non discretionary inclusions so whatever. The committee chose inbred-u, and that’s the outrage.I have yet to see anyone carry water for Tulane and JMU. They're not even 2017 Central Florida. Neither went unbeaten.
Georgia Tech fan here and my first post on this board. First of all, I want to say congratulations to Notre Dame on a fine season, and to say I have great respect for your storied history in college football. But what I can't understand is why on earth your resentment should be directed toward the ACC, which understandably stood up for its own. It seems to me it should be directed toward the crafters of the playoff, whose criteria led to the inclusion of Tulane and James Madison. Those two should be replaced by the Irish and BYU, if we're talking about the 12 best teams in the country.I want heads on a spike and a declaration of Holy war against the ACC and ESPN.
Oh my god. These people are going to keep coming out of the woodwork, aren’t they? On top of banning them all, can we put a moratorium on new members for like a week or something??Georgia Tech fan here and my first post on this board. Also, I would like to express my dismay that the Irish declined an invitation to play in the Pop Tarts Bowl against BYU, which would have been quite fitting and would have generated a great deal of interest nationwide as a game between two deserving teams left out of the playoff. However, I am glad my Yellow Jackets are playing against BYU instead, though it will be a difficult game for us to win.
That you are not a full member of the ACC in football is what cost you a trip to the CFP, because few will disagree that N.D. would have waxed either one of the participants in the ACC title game. And, as you all know, a win over Miami would have gotten you in easily. To sum up, it's clear to me that two groups of people are responsible for Notre Dame missing the playoffs, as follows:
The committee that crafted the playoff criteria, and
The Notre Dame football team.
It is not the fault of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
In most ways, I do not disagree with the above. That said, if you are ND administration, how would you view your partnership with the ACC moving forward? To sum up, it's clear to me that two groups of people are responsible for Notre Dame missing the playoffs, as follows:

I spake the truth. Do you deny the facts I stated?Oh my god. These people are going to keep coming out of the woodwork, aren’t they? On top of banning them all, can we put a moratorium on new members for like a week or something??
I am not sure you understand the difference between fact and opinionI spake the truth. Do you deny the facts I stated?
Could be grifting but this Tracks - Pete’s over the top comments are part of a greater plan from ND.
Also, you don’t start this process if you are ND without some assurances from other leagues. Something has to be already in the works imo.
I don't feel qualified to answer that. Joining the conference might be the best move, but money-wise, it might not. There are many things involved with that. That's for the Notre Dame administration to decide and I can't give you a good answer to that question. But I don't think any ill-placed resentment against the conference should figure into it.In most ways, I do not disagree with the above. You’re missing the point. The disgust with the ACC is their actions in the last week promoting Miami in a media blast. Conference is not supposed to promote one school over another.Georgia Tech fan here and my first post on this board.
