How many injuries were football related injuries, ie...hits by player or to ground, run up on, etc? It's a violent game. We had ACL's with everyone's favorite S&C guy, Ballis. Sh** happens. The whole team looked the same though...no explosion with skill guys. Everyone looked like a lineman...

The defensive rooms are much deeper. Sure, Kelly had decent first string players, but no depth. There were always holes. OL is on par, but they are young. Not the top end, but I think all 5 will play in the NFL. It doesn’t help that they lost 2 OT’s a year early. The RB room is loaded I think...

ND fans: We don't go after the 4's & 5*'s; we hire a coach that is aggressive and recruits 5*'s, but lose out to other teams = MF can't recruit, what are we doing wasting our time going after these guys (or quit wasting our time with flakes)? Guess what? The higher rated kids are getting so...

Don't have any inside info, but maybe Stuckey ran into some trouble? Normally doesn't MF release a statement when a staff member leaves the program (voluntary or involuntarily)? I know coaches don't always tell the truth at press conferences (Lou didn't either), but seems odd that he doubled...

So within minutes of the announcement, ND fans immediately related it to a "hazing incident". Then hours later, MF gets blamed for losing assistant coaches that left for a) Bama, and the NFL b) Colts. Balis was a great solid S&C coach, no doubt. But there are plenty more out there like him...

I think it is unwise to group these four together. I think if you look at each situation individually, and accept the the way the times are now, then it really isn't a mark against the coaches. Each situation was different. If you talk to any coach at any level right now, they are all pulling...
