he was classless. Lost the 3rd round big, but took the 1st 2. Heavyweight fight was the fight of the night.

PerthDomer...Classless...hardly! He was a warrier....what..one fighter showboats a little bit and he's classless?...give me a break.....Thats why Chris Salvi was in the ring...fighting his tail off..... after walking on the football team, playing 13 solid football games for ND, earning a scholarship, and you were in the audience watching!!

In all honesty, Chris Salvi yesterday was pretty classless. His performance on the gridiron does not excuse the taunting, showboating, etc. hes a great guy, great football player, buts hes better than that. The entire place booed him.

what exactly does "classless" mean...he put his arms down?....showing he was not hurt?he is a confident kid....anyone acts other than robotic and their "classless" (whatever that means)...how about"confident" "entertaining" "competitive"....typical ND fan.....a little pizazz and their classless.......come on....get out of the 1940s

Bengal bouts is all about respect and camaraderie. You train together you respect each other, it isn't pro boxing. Salvi was taunting etc. and the crowd booed the heck out of him. Had he not gotten an extremely long standing 8 in the 3rd Moreno probably had him.

Ask Moreno if he thought he was taunted....they got both got along great afterwards....Bengal bouts is about camradarie etc....but that does not mean every boxer has to boring clone of the next guy....not the pros??? what does that have to do with it???....it is boxing...competitive, emotional and object is to knockout your opponent....it's not golf!....I sense envy frankly....Don't try to knock Chris Salvi down a notch just because he has accomplished alot

No doubt. His power was amazing and he's a great fighter. Dropping your hands the way he did is just a no no. Salvi probably won on points, but Moreno had momentum. The booing was as much dropping hands as a plucky underdog losing a close fight.

Classless? Why? He was tired and put his gloves down for a moment to catch his breath. If you knew Chris Salvi, you would know that he would never do something to embarrass an opponent. Chris was a warrior Saturday night. ND nation should be proud.

I've done bouts before and that's not what it looks like when your hands drop due to exhaustion. I'm hoping Salvi's power/endurance are testament to Longo's system.
