Waterford. About 2 hours south of Dublim. Regularly go to the Aviva Stadium for rugby internationals. Its a fine setup right in the centre of the city.

I know exactly where that is, my family's from Cork. The last time I was there I stayed in Skibereen, actually thought about relocating to Ireland.

Ok, so who's actually going to this game and where did you get your tickets?

I'm flying over with a few buddies but we have yet to acquire tix. There's over priced packages that we've passed up on and we have stubhub on reserve but we're trying to look at all options.

Tickets are not available to the general public on ticketmaster.ie until sometime in March. I check regularly, but no news yet. I'll try to check with the Aviva Stadium to get more specific information. Ticket prices seem to be €35-€90.

tickets will be on general release March 5th 10am on ticketmaster.ie

Just as a heads up, they won't sell if the ship to address is in the U.S. So if you know someone overseas or in Canada, now's the time to start calling in favors.

I need someone to help me come up with a scheme that will convince my wife to give up a week in Bali for a week in Dublin.

theres another game meant to take place in Navan at 4:30, preceeded the previously announced game.
I reckon the ND/Hamilton game will be in Santry or Tallaght.

I could have my sister or cousins that live over there hold onto them for me buuutt...

Ticket master.ie has tix available on May 3rd ranging from 35 - 90 euro.. 90 euro is about $120 and I'm assuming that's for the best seats..

On the other hand, Navy has tix available May 15th with prices ranging from $50 - $70.. I'm assuming $70 is for the best seats.. but are those tickets for one specific area in the stadium? That's what I'mworried about. I respect the Navy and all but I want to sit with ND fans.

THe €90 tickets will be for the premium level which is half way up on the side stands - same level as the boxes. I would assume that the allocations going to the US will be blocks of tickets the way they allocate soccer tickets over here. There is a seating plan of the Avive on the ticketmaster.ie site if you type up the Emerald Isle Classic.

Another venue has been announced:
Leinster Domestic : Leinster Branch : Domestic Newsroom : Donnybrook to welcome American Football...
Dallas Jesuit vs Loyola Academy and St Norberts vs John Carroll will take place in Donnybrook in Dublin (about 15 mins walk from Aviva where ND will play) on August 31st.
More than likely this will be the easiest game to get to logistically for visiting fans as its close to the Aviva.

Got my ticket bought for this one €15 for 6 hours of football? Why wouldn't ya?

Bought two myself but I might end up selling them and getting beter tix in Dublin on the day of. I'm flying over with 2 maybe 3 friends but the ticketmaster.ie would only let me get 2 tix per billing address and I'm not even sure they're going to mail it to my US address. In one area of the site it said it will not mail to the US but when I put my info in and selected "overseas" delivery it gave me the option to choose the US. Who knows.. Thats why I bought the cancelling insurance..

IS this game being talked about all that much over there... I know its early. Do you think it will be a pretty big deal over there when it gets closer to game time?

What a crock of s**t the whole ticket thing is. Tried to get them when the went online but ticketmaster said they could only be bought in Europe. No north american sales. WTF? Money grab for tour/ticket packages? I guess I'm going to get raped like everyone else trying to buy them from scalpers at the game.

I'll be flying over for this game with a few friends. We're looking to buy the tickets ASAP and they seem to be about $375 for lower level.

My buddy has a timeshare option in Dublin that we'll be staying at.

I was there in 96 and it was incredible.

The lower level tickets were selling for $375 a ticket??? I live in the UK, and of course this game is being played in the ROI, anyway, tickets went on sale for the general public here on the British Isles this past Tuesday, the 20th of March 2012, and I paid £95 for a premium ticket and I saw that the lower level were selling for £35. Now I'm certain that the exchange rate is gonna hose my fellow Americans coming over for the game, but $375 seems very excessive! What all came with that ticket for thst price???I to am looking forward to this game that I gave up going to see the Pats play the Rams in Oct in London, and I'm a huge Sam Bradford (OU) fan! I love college football! Enjoy the game and the atmosphere, the Irish are very friendly and just like the English they love to drink,, and the chosen drink will be Guiness. I'm talkin about the real that takes several mins to pull and settle! And beer and lager have a lot higher alcohol content aand not the American standard of 3.0 lol.

Pretty amazing actually. First of all 35,000 Americans is crazy considering the economy globally. That means after the 1st data presale those of us in Britain were damn lucky we even got a ticket considering there were only 15,000 available. Also, with the Olympics just pretty much just finishing and a month or so later the NFL comes to London that quick sell out is just awesome and to the pratts that says American football has no place across the Atlantic or has no business being anywhere outside the country this just shows how bloody popular it is. I can't wait to see the pagentry of the cadets and the bands performing at the half and all the sights and sounds of the game. It's a lot better than the NFL. I hope it's a close exciting game down to the wire. People over here get to see how good and competitive the HS athletes can be. They are just as committed as the College and Pros are. Many, except for the Naval Cadets, will never travel abroad again so this trip will mean a lot to those kids and the adults with em. Aviva will be jumpin!

Hell yeh considering I was told that it's not easy to sell out for the Ruggers at times. I'm glad that as soon as 10am hit on the day I was buying my ticket, and you could only buy 1!! I knew somethin was up when I clicked the drop down to choose my preference and the only premium left was East Stand and I so wanted to sit in the West Side. At least I got me ticket and now I have to either board Ryan Air or Are Lingus! lol.
