I kind of like it. Nobody mentioned what happened to the Mrs.

Does anyone get the feeling that the Walking Dead is written and directed for the Reality TV generation? What I mean by that is, I always get the feeling that the drama seems pushed upon the viewer because that is what is expected in this day in age. To me it seems like the they use the action as a vehicle to force the drama down our throats much like what reality tv does to its audience. Perhaps I am being overly critical because I want to see the show progress into new areas and I am tired of the whole played out farm fiasco.

I am becoming more and more upset at the way Shane has evolved.

It's such a shame: what a waste.

When will he kill Dale?

Bringing in the threat of the living to the threat of the dead is a good twist. Squeezes the world even more. I like it.

SPOILER(?) If the show continues to stay faithful (mostly) to the comics then don't worry about the group staying on the farm much longer

Also, why didn't Rick, Hershel, and Glen hide the dead bodies of the douchebags they shot knowing full well and aware they had a group of guys with them somewhere close?

I wonder if the other group members will see the smoke from the corpses and know where to find the farm?

Damn. Poor. Planning.

I don't think it's poor planning. From the looks of the preview of next week's episode, it looks like the group happens upon them right after they shoot the 2 dudes. It doesn't look like they had time to do anything.

Never watched it until this weekend. I watched/DVR'd the marathon and now all caught up. Great way to pass the time while doing the travel thing. I was streaming it to my laptop on the plane and had two people trying to follow along. Good stuff.

Disagree. When Rick's son puts a bullet in his dome at the end of the season, it will be 3241234x as good seeing as it has grown up the tension (If it even happens).

easily the best episode since they got to the farm

Yep. This was the episode I've been waiting for since Season 1 ended. Several different subplots that will be very intriguing to watch-- some over the next couple of episodes, and some over the coarse of the series.

P.S. Can we get Giblets to start a line on when Darrel and the buzz-cut chick who just lost her daughter bang?

Last night was easily one of the best episodes not only of this season, but of the entire series.
And the preview for next week has me drooling...can't wait to see the fireworks....

I whiffed on this episode...

No spoilers but how was it?

It looks like iTunes will be making 3 or 4 bucks for the HD episode.

It was great. Can't you watch the episode on amctv.com?

Shane is really turning to the dark side now. Tough call coming up, poor ole Ricky boy.

I don't know the confrontation between the two of them (Shane and Rick) left me cold, and the blond, Shanetta (Andrea), mirroring Shane, is getting a little clumbsey. It would help if they had a little bit more of all the characters in. It seems like things build with a character, (sometimes) and then after the crisis has passed they are left out for a while. What do they need rest. The infected arm, then what's his name is hardly present, the boy, yup, he was barely around for his mom and pop's almost demise. The old man, with all his upset, hardly anywhere to be found. What's his name, shot in the head after he gets an arrow through him, not around. Mark my words, the show cannot survive without the grittiness his character brings. When he halucinated and saw his brother, with the ambivolent relationsip they had, that was awesome. So much for my early morning rant . . .

I think Shane will end up doing exactly what Rick told him to do which is to "come back" he will become humble and the audience will like him again. He's too crucial of a character to kill off.

The best for plot lines is if Shane comes back and Andrea tempts him to come to the "dark-side"; kind of like a Genesis meets The Lost.

I hope they kill off Andrea after what she did last night...and Shane's time is about up.

I thought they did a good job of showing how what she did was necessary to get that girl to want to live.

Good episode overall. Only 4 left I think

The casting comes amid speculation that Bernthal's Shane -- currently Rick's No. 1 foil -- could be written out of the drama as the actor is circling former Walking Dead showrunner Frank Darabont's TNT drama pilot.

Morrissey will be a regular on the series' next season, which will expand to 16 episodes.

Look for Shane to meet his end sooner rather than later.

Doing the wrong thing to obtain the right results, now that's drama.

Three episodes left.

I am thinking that too much change from the direction they are headed is going to change the series too much . . . for me

Hey, what is the deal with the two guards having no marks on them? I know why they are expected to have them, it is just that they didn't have any, and Rick kept commenting on it . . . .
